    granted on the time vw take to get stuff sometimes! usually 2 days from mine, we got old cars now padgid and durid make vw genuine pads, a few other brands crept in on the later cars aswell, cant remember the names now! i suppose the fast road pads would be better, specially designed and all that, it was the supposed oe ones they sell i meant, the other issue i have with GSF.... is there isnt one any where near me!! or i would probably buy SOME things from them!!

    i wasnt knocking all their stuff andy bosch bits etc are all the same! just a bit dubious about all the claimed "oe" stuff, take brake discs and pads etc, just by looking at them you can tell they are inferior even if they are pagid etc, they make them with different pad material and they squeel like bastards!, no one will knock money saving ever! but i still prefer to get genuine, i trust the stuff, ok.... and coz i used to work at my local dealers i still get a bit of discount i can say hand on heart, i would still buy there even if i didnt though, things like radiators and stuff like th

    if you have un-evenly worn tyres that could be why, check the inflation and also balancing maybe, are the tyres directional and on the right way around???

    i still believe in "you get what you pay for" GSF and others maybe cheaper for some stuff, but there is a good reason! imo vw parts have lasted on the car so far so why de value the car? imo or increase the chance of failure and doing a job twice! the metals and castings on most replacement parts are far lower quality from my experience of them, but obviously budget etc come into play with some people, but if you end up doing it twice, in the case of a water pump its agro and extra cost of more coolant, more time and more grief! and false economy.

    the front brakes do about 70% of your breaking so you dont need to go mad on the rears anyway, 500 bhp!!! thats gonna take up a few student loans to achieve

    is it for a conversion? anything is swapable if you have all the right bits! depends what you are wanting to achieve!! if your putting a 1995 engine in a later mk4 golf then i would say no, it wont be straight forward!

    get loads of quotes! and dont forget YOU get to decide who repairs you car not the insurance! unless they agree to fix it with their approved repairers, just watch them, some of these monkeys couldnt tell the difference between a kia and a volvo and will lash your car up!

    i think someone on here did that already! and the bearing went bang!! i would change it!!!!! worst case it fails and you snap your stub axle you wreck your rim and god knows whatever else!!! just imo

    the rallye is exactly the same weight as a corrado! (g60)believe it or not, so its not to bad anyway! i suppose the vr engine has an effect on balance as much as weight? its a big old lump! lightest alloys are the ones like mike trueluck had on his jabba rallye, think they were oz ones, or go for some magnesium porsche ones!! even the bolts are as light as a feather!

    !amazed its true, the general public cant think coppers dont think the same as they do? surely! ok so police officers cant say what they think all the time, but they can think what they like all the time i dont think a day goes by when i dont think c*** to someone on the road

    its only a door! luckily.... could ahve been the rear 1/4 panel!!!! what was she doing? on the phone?...lipstick?.... doing her hair?.... or was it one of those... "i couldnt see you" moments? when they cant see but pull out anyway right into you! i will get back in my box now gutted for you mate.

    this is getting a really drawn out and awkward situation, if its not resolved soon i can see this having a bad effect on the VR6OC and its members all because of this poisonous dwarf, It is not really a case of those not owed money to get involved, although i am sure everyone supports you guys who have been ripped off, i think personally all those who have listed being owed money need to confer directly with each other, and a volounteer person brit side needs to represent the overseas guys aswell, that has to be decided between yourselves, its easy to say, but if it were me owed, i would help
