  4. also included were life belts due to the "boat" like handling!!! but this is a pic of my standard vr and once it was lowered for comparison!!
  5. eeeek, personally i wouldnt put a shitty Firestone tyre anywhere near any car! (except your nans micra) they are shit! the compound is too hard and crap in wet or dry, i personnaly am not a great fan of dunlop or Michelen either really, comes down to past experience of these brands really, tyres should be considred THE most important thing you fit on your car! they keep you in contact with the road!!! if they are cheap or "compromise" due to cost? if they let you down the costs could be more than just the price of a tyre!!!! get the best ones you can afford imo
  6. try emailing these guys www.tunershop.co.uk they sell RH wheels and can probably get some for a decent price direct from germany
  7. just tell them you have taken legal advice and wont be entertaining any of their old bollocks! they are useless a friend of mine got a log book through her door yesterday!! for FORD CALIBRA??? yep you read it right ford calibra! who the hell do they employ up there???? to top it all she never even owned the car to start with! if you have done as per the instruction of notifying change of keeper then they cant take you to court anyway period, its there lack of communication with DVLA Ireland thats the problem, just ignore them if its registered to you and insured and taxed and you cna prove tha
  8. Vw use G12 + which is pink, the blue is G11 and they stopped using it on later cars in the 1990`s as it can corode ally parts quicker, hence all the plastic pipe fittings on later vw`s
  9. old "leo" is looking sweeet mate, next bit to polish that manifold
  10. coilovers are best way forward mate, you can decide for yourself what height suits you and change it for different situations if you want in about an hour! 8x17`s are probably the wides rim size to use on a vr6 without arch mods, i have FK Highsport coilovers £380 from Venom motorsport, and RH ZW 1` 8 x 17 split rim alloys with 205 40 17 Toyo tyres (not cheap but nice imo ), its low but still has good arch and sump! clearance, it is comfortable and handles well.
  11. Lee i think its time you went to your local police station and registered as a sex offender mate! and madge it wasnt me asking what flavour you were (so to speak) i am far to much a gentleman it was just petes twisted way of gaining info from you teabagging! !grr how rude,
  12. you have a bit of tolerance if you do raise it, you will notice it through driving it if it affects it much any way, just keep a check on your tyres for any un even wear, or just take it in and get a "free check" done on it
  13. bastard!!! shit myself!! i was about 3 inches from the screen!
  14. dunno if FK do this for a reason? but most standard VW suspension has an extra 10mm clearance on drivers side to allow for the weight of the driver! i found i had to have my FK coilovers set slightly higher on the drivers side anyway to compensate as i am quite a big built roughty tufty rugby chap just make sure you dont go mad on the slam as this can affect the tracking and camber settings if they were done when it was higher :|
  15. I got continental sport contacts on my original solitudes, Very good tyres mate, i paid about £250 for all 4, look around though, toyos, bridgestones and goodyears are decent tyres too, and that size you should get a good deal
  16. In the Scottish Highlands it was time for the annual safety exams at all the signal boxes. Angus was first to go...... The inspector asked Angus to go through his emergency procedures should he ever be faced with to trains heading toward each other on the track... Angus leapt up and said "och thats easy, i would simply pull the emergency points and allow one to pass onte the other line pal"...good answer replies the inspector...... but what if the emergency points are frozen? OCH Angus replies i would run dewn the traks an pull the lever me sen laddy! are but what if the lever wasnt there or y
  17. During a lesson at school the subject turned to Morals, several children piped up with intersting stories and the lessons to be learnt from the tale, as it came to my turn i could only think of one story with a good "moral" During the war my grandad, only eighteen was trapped in a trench complex with 20 men, the Germans were bombing and shooting at anything that moved, after a short time my Grandad found himself all alone! un detered by the procarious situation he gathered up as much ammo he could carry, prior to making his daring dash to safety he downed what was left of a 1 Ltr bottle of wh
