    shame the tosser wasnt trapped in his "halfords willans" harness while it burnt! serves him right, best thing that could happen to a ford imo i wonder if he knows that sitting in a burnt out car can kill you? well it can, all the plastics and wiring when they burn produce really toxic chemicals, if they get in your blood stream you die of blood poisoning!! !amazed shame the airbag didnt deploy on him!

    just tell him there are far better cars you could race and still win, and dont even see his rep car as a challenge anyway, either that or just anhialate him on the road and end the discussion once and for all! remember speed isnt just a straight line, its about the handling and driver too and rear wheel drive cars can be a handfull if you arent that good at driving round the twisty stuff!

    the BMW is a heavy old lump, wouldnt think a lot would be in it tbh, my old Rallye golf used to piss on 325`s that was about 220 bhp, (and sounded like a harrier jump jet!) people under estimate the vr6 just because its a golf, most people are surprised when they been in mine! and you tell them its a 2.8 in such a small car !amazed

    you could get a body shop to mop over the laquer with farcela, whoever sprayed it should have done this though!, other than that try a Maguiars clay bar for £12 its probably worth a try!

    Personally, if i was in your position i would get the R32! as soon as the coffers allow i will be getting one! love my VR6 and probably wont sell it as its such a nice car, but the R32 is the next step up the "top of the range" VW ladder for me! reliability and as you say once things start to go wrong they get expensive! not that an R32 wont be expensive to run!! if things go wrong...

    depends where it came from, some companys give the products different numbers, who you getting it off? can you see the car?

    those sort of mods look great if done well, if they go unfinished/fitted properly you get a kind of "rat" look, always costs twice what you budget too!

    only the floor pan, centre turret, and the boot area! to accomodate the rear drive shafts and diff! (its a very modified mk2 floor! the corrado used a passat floor pan but dont tell a Corrado owner that! same as 02a the gearbox! just a modded passat one! in all the G60`s) the H&R coilover kit i had on it was to fit a VR6 MK3 aswell!!! should of taken it off! £800 that cost me! ~ oh well

    go to here www.tunershop.co.uk and go to styling, select vw and vento they do a fair few bumpers and skirts, not cheap though by the time you got it painted!

    mine has got "fkvw55" on the venom reciept, cant remember any numbers on the shocks though, i doubt any one with a standard golf would run coilovers? most 16v parts are the same as vr6 for stuff like that, same as a golf Rallye
