  2. the bottom one is the best of a bad bunch imo, but it would look better with the 2 other vents at the bottom aswell as the central one http://www.tunershop.co.uk/index.html INGO NOAK TUNING-FRONT BUMBER
  3. from the cars i've driven ,the lower the biting point the healthier the clutch is,
  4. hi all, i havn't used this company presonally but i've heard good things about them, they are a mobile service that will repair minor scuffs and scrapes. http://www.revive-uk.com/
  5. NGK BKR5 EKU are supposed to be the best, stealth racing use Bosch, either ones will be good (don't use anything else though espacially not champion)

  7. so youre the one that gazumped me on the phone when i was in the middle of buying vince's vr !mistrust
  8. is there any way of testing the oil cooler to see if its failing?
  9. nasty but not cheap judging by a bill i got when i had it replaced with an orriginal air boxto my old vr
  10. hi all, found this on another vr6 site and thought it might be of help http://www.vr6.org/cgi-bin/ikonboard/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST&f=9&t=48
  11. hi all, with a combination of a little sludge in the oil and murky coolant in the reservoir, could that point to oil cooler failing rather than head gasket going?
  12. if the head was going it will have loads of sludge under the oil cap, if it had gone it would have totally fucked your engine after a load bang . if the water isn't going into the engine it must be a leak, are all the hoses coming from the coolant tank ok? when you are filling the expansion tank do it v.slowly when its up to nearly max turn the engine on and fill as it goes down to avoid any air pockets. did you check thermostat housing for any leaks ,mine went and it got through a ridiculous amount of coolant from a tiny leak.
  13. although you shouldn't the vr will respond to full throttle from cold, unless you have a problem with the fueling system like the automatic choke
  14. the place i'd start is: 1.plugs and leads 2.coil pack 3.maf meter but the best idea is to get it plugged into a vag com and see if any faults are detected
  15. 1.thermostat housing 2.heater matrex (any coolant coming into footwell passenger side) 3.any worn coolant pipes, the pipes can deteorate ,check for very soft/brittle pipes and all jubilee clips as this is where a split will occur
  16. well thats what has got me confused, i thought it was neat and had to be mixed with water, when i got mine from vw when i was doing a complete drain and refill they said 2 bottles would be sufficiant, it was when mixed to a 60/40 ratio with water, if i used it neat i'd have needed about 8 bottles !mistrust
  17. its recommended as there are corrosive elements in tap water
  18. i thought you still had to do a 60% distilled water to 40% g12....?
  19. cheers, gav. i think the mulberry will go for less maybe
