  1. Thanks guys... now i know where to start, i'll get on with it! My mpg seems very good so i reckon i'll leave the lambda till last! Randall, the carnage has been sorted by Petesvw... as good as new! Huge smile! Thanks, Katie
  2. ok got the beast on diagnostics today, but the mechanic that did it wiped the codes before i had chance to write them down! doh! it came up with 3 main faults, HALL SENSOR ERROR ENGINE SPEED SENSOR ERROR LAMBDA CONTROL PROBLEM INTERMITTANT (something exceeded) he said the hall and engine speed sensors would be to do with the crank and cam sensors, is that right? and he's told me to get a new lambda sensor, should i? anyone ever seen these codes before / know where i should start? thanks, Katie
  3. maybe a vacuum leak somewhere in the system... most probably the pump, i've had the same problem in the past and a new pump solved the problem! got a local auto electrican to let me try it before i bought it so i knew that it was definately the pump before i shelled out all that cash though! good luck, Katie
  4. i like black... tends to look cleaner, but i think the green look good too!
  5. lol! bet it's still small even on the other hand! !lol
  6. i've got rs turbo recaro half leathers in mine, they took about an hour to fit in and required bucket seat subframes (made for the mk3) which were tailor made so bolted straight on. the back's not too difficult either if you strip the material off the new seat and trim it on to your standard one, tidies things up a bit! leathers from an '89 911 would be awesome! good luck, Katie

    Mpg

mine's got a de-cat, power boost valve jetex 2.5" system and induction kit, it does around 22mpg on short reckless journeys and 30mpg on long hauls. standard it was near enough the same, but tended to stick at 30mpg more of the time

  11. Rados look the part and are the more sporty of the two, but with a few mods the golf can match it's performance and imo is the more practical choice. Ask yourself which one would give you the biggest stupid looking smile on your face if you parked it up then took a look back?... that's the one! Kat
