    ....does anyone think it ti`ll be regarded as a `classic` like the mk1 gti and possibly start going up in value if kept mint with very few mods? it`s a bit annoying how much they`ve came down in price,i paid 4 grand for an `m` reg just 2 years ago and it`ll be worth half that now(thought golfs were supposed to hold there value well)??that said i`m still loving it and prob hold onto it until it dies. how long do you lot plan on keepin yours?

    mine`s even wierder,front left looks about 5mm lower than front right and rear right looks lower than rear left,just had 30mm eibachs fitted on standard shocks along with bump stops,top mounts gaiters ect.also had new track rods fitted,had 4wheel alignment,tracking and camber done too.it was like this at the rear even before the eibachs were put on, it feels fine to drive though.what the hell is going on?? shocks?? or am i seeing things??

    look out for rust patches where the door seals join and round the fuel filler cap.i`ve had mine 2 years and it`s never had any squeeks or rattles,these cars are smooth,solid and stable (once the suspension is sorted out).

    here`s an idea !lol ,how about a remote control which could trigger some sort of electric shock device which could be fed from a 12v-1000v step-up transformer.... u just let them take the car,and say 30sec later....... ZAP !grr ......fry the theiving b*

    is there any near the Ayrshire /glasgow area? i`ve heard of star performance in fife but that`s a bit of a treck for me,are they good with vr`s anyway,do they use the dastek chips like stealth? thanx

    foud a small bit of rust(about 2"x2")under the rubber door seal on passenger side,done a temp repair on it with rust remedy,wire brush and touch-up pen,what concerns me is the rust had penatrated a bit to the stage that i was scraping small chunks of rusty metal away,please tell me this can be sorted??!! also,say if you were getting a full respray done could they coat it in zink or somthing before the paint goes on so this sort of thing won`t happen again? why the fek didn`t they galvanise mk3`s at the factory......... tight fisted german clowns!! ~

    loose connections cause overheating,that`s the problem,not the coil pack,i`m a spark i should know.

    please excuse my ignorance guys,i am a total novice as far as car mechanics go but could someone give me a guide on how to change the plugs?does the battery need to be disconnected? cheers!

    i thought engine covers that have VR6 DOHC on them are OBD1 and covers that have 2.8 VR6 on them are OBD2??
