    i have a powerflow on mine,i think it`s ok,nice deep tone low down and at idle.it does get louder around 2000rpm !amazed but not enough to do my tits in,when i`m cruising on the motorway and around town it`s perfectly silent, 8) i told them to make sure it wasn`t "boy racer" loud!! however to highlight what craig and slim have said about workmanship,they(drivers in glasgow)fitted the middle silencer too close to the rear axle,i only found this out when the car was MOT`d x) ,when i phoned them up to kick up hell ~ they were actualy ok about it and rectified it.if u do decide to go powerflow g

    vag-com is diagnostics software,take the car to a vw garage and get them to hook it up and check for any fault codes

    you`ll get G12 off vw dealer.older vr`s had G11(BLUE) in them,later 1`s G12(RED).i got my old G11 flushed out and replaced with G12 as it`s a lot better(helps prevent corrosion in the block)

    how much do heated seat relays cost and is it just a case of unpluging old and pluging new 1s in? also my driver`s side mirror heater isn`t working,is this an easy fix? cheers

    got som ngk bkr5ekup`s,says on the box "adjust spark plug gap to engine makers spec",how do u do this and what is the spec?also what kind of ratchet and bar do i need and where can i get these?

    this has probs been discussed before(tried search) and i know we`re headin for winter but what parts do u need to do this?i know the compressor costs about a million pounds brand new but i could source one from ebay or scrappy. the first owner of my car got all the extras inc heated leather,but no air-con(doh)??in the summer it`s like a bloody sauna.i know ur gonna say not worth the hassle but it would be nice to have the car fully "speced-up"

    press and hold to close windows and sunroof,that`s it,if sometimes your having to press and release a good few times maybe the battery in the fob is on the road out?

    for what it`s worth i got a mate to time me with a stopwatch :? got 7.3 on an obd1 golf with zorst and 16" wheels,that was with a bit of wheelspin too

    why do americans have golf "GTI VR6`s" and not just gti`s or vr6`s like normal people,i take it it`s something to do with the fact that they call the pavement "the sidewalk" and crisps "chips"?? !lol

    i`m with elephant,they`ll allow a chip that gives no more than a 10% power increase if i remember correctly,some mods they allow,some they don`t. they let me lower my car 30mm but not with koni shocks,asked them if i needed more NCD but they said they just don`t cover cetain mods.
