I got a whole kit with a few of parts missing, I have been down the forced induction route before,

and I have to inspect and repair everything, otherwise the weakest link will show.

 

 

Been stripping the oil system at work

cleaning the inline filter, and making some spacers up. 

The idler and supercharger pulleys are not aligned with the aux belt.

and the ones someone had made that came with the kit are far from ideal.

The injectors are all tested and cleaned, and within 2% of each other, very happy with them.

also I an having a having a hard time finding some software

 

so an obd1 dizzy stage 2 chip is needed as well

 

I have an VF engineering odb1 coilpack stage 2 chip I am willing to swop

I wanted to fit the kit as vf engineering made it,

its a shame they don't sell the parts anymore they are more interested in selling you a v3 charger

I realise I will have to cobble together the intake and boost pipes

and buy a check valve to stop boost pressure blowing the evap canister apart

they did send a fitting guide which is good,

if you want a copy I could send it to you.

Hi just bought a v9 kit

I have asked VF engineering in the USA they do not do spares for their kit, very frustrating

 

I need the boost pipe as  the one I got has been butchered

 

and the intake pipe is missing

 

so I have the money do you have the goods

I agree its all about air flow and resonance

the project has taken a bit of a back burner for now

it will get finished after I fit my Vortech stage 2 into the track car I am building

Just got mine they look ok can figure out what the fat hose with the small stub coming off it is for

bleeding air maybe

I think it was the throttle position sensor

you can remove them and swop them over to check

check you are getting 12v to the thin red wire on the starter when you turn the key to start

have a look round the down pipe and manifolds to see if there is anything touching the exhaust

sound like your coolant hose may be leaking onto the exhaust as well

May be I fitted them incorrectly.

But they caused my power steering pump to fail

 

the top bearing can only rotate on one axis instead of 2

 

the strut has to be able to rotate and lean at the same time

the rubber top mounts allow this movement

 

I think they are very poor in design

the top bearing should be like a rose joint and not like a wheel bearing.

I am going to ask for my money back as they are rubbish

Hi all

mate of mine has been having a lot of hassle getting part numbers for his 4mo

can anyone please help out with part numbers for the 2 pre cat

lambda sensors its a 2000 plate 2.8 v6 4 motion

 

local suppliers have said there are a lot of different ones available

we are after bosch ones and maybe  somewhere that does them for a reasonable price

That's the oil squirters that dropped out

they are £20 each and need to go back in buddy
