thanks again is there a diy guide to repairing sills anywhere i have had a look and cant find anything for a mk3
i suppose the principal is the same
also do i have to cut out the old sill and weld the replacement in, or is the old sill covered by the new one after its been treated and sealed :-d
-
not what i was thinking
thanks for your input though

any one know where to get some floor pans for my golf?
its having the sills and both floor pans rebuilt
i have looked allover and can get every panel bar the floorpans
or is it a case of cutting them out of a scrap car (i)

i like the intake come charge cooler and its shiney
i found a few on line allready made up in the good old US of A

Iva had the vr turbod for about 6 years its been on and off the road a few times due to engine failure
lead foot syndrome, started with SPA kit from brasil
6psi no intercooler
then moved on to an eip kit and made up an intercooler,
i sold all my old stuff to jim potter
i have seen your thread from the beginning to end so know how much effort you have put in
more respect for people who have done all their mods themselves,
you are right the radiator for the charge cooler is too small so i hope the cinquicento one works, i also got a digital temp meter so i can keep an eye on intake temperatures form the dash,
http://www.evolution-r.com/charge%20temp.html saves setting vag com up to monitor them.
i had a look at the aircon radiator and feel the pipe diameters could be a little resrictive when it comes to water flow
matt at c2 has an air con rad i took it off yesterday and its not in bad condition, could do with a paint

didnt see that coming
nice one

thanks for the offer kev its abit rich for me at the moment
good price though
are you using a EBC or is your boost controlled by the DTA
-
just wanted some opinions on electronic boost controllers
EBCS
i had a profec spec b and found it really difficult to set up
plus the instuctions were not very good half japanese half english
or the guy who translated it was pissed
or i was when i read it
got rid of it ages ago and used a manual boost controller
i want to go back to an EBC as they use the boost more efficiently and allow greater control
one which is easy to set up would be great
any suggestions ?
