  1. Have you got spacers on there mate?
  2. I got a MIlltek full stainless with de-cat section. Much louder with the de-cat section. Sounds awesome has to be said but sometimes on the motorway the drone can get on your nerves. I'm thinking on getting a sports cats to replace it to be honest.
  3. I'm no expert mate but it could be the balancing. I've put wheels back on my car that have been in storage for nearly 2 years and were fine at the time of removal but needed balancing again once i put them back on.
  4. Well i'm defineately not buying now untill I see the price of the Group Buy if it happens. Got quoted £1850 supply and fit inc Rolling Road remap.
  5. I've had a look at the guide to fittting and cant really see me doing it in half hour but have considered it. I'll wait for Stealth to get back to me and see what they say.
  6. Guys, Does anyone know how much roughly for supply and fit for a Schrick manifold? Have emailed Stealth but just wanted to know what some of you thought?
  7. Well i think the pedal goes down too far myself. Compared to my 2005 Passat 1.9 TDi there's a big diff, but i put that down to it being a newer car. When I had my coilovers fitted the VW techie said the pedal felt fine so It might just be me.
  8. Guys, Is there any way to reduce the amount of brake pedal travel?
  9. Just had a Milltek Cat-back and De-cat fitted and noticed a slight reduction in torque low down but once you get over 4krpm and on the motorway the difference is awesome. Much more poke.
  10. Guys, My rear bumper on the passenger side is sagging down. Where the bumper meets the body on the rear passenger side, the inside clip/hook has obviously weakened and is causing the bumper to drop a bit. I've had a look and the clip is integrated into the bumper. Plus It doesnt clip onto anything. Its justs hangs in a groove on the body panel. I've checked and its the same the other side, as in where it holds on. Can anyone suggest anything i can about this? I thought about a pop rivet but i'd have to drill the body then!
  11. I'd never buy a Milltek againbased on the one i;ve just bought. Poor fit, knocking, and big ££££££ for it. Going to cost me a bit to put it right.
  12. I'm jealous mate. I just bought the Milltek Cat-back and decat. For a start it doesnt sit straight so my tailpipes look terrible; and to top it all off it knocks like hell. Bought some replacement exhaust mounts from powerflex to see if it will cure some of the problems. All in all not very happy. Could be the mechanic who fitted it though. I'm thinking about taking it somewhere to have it checked.
  13. I had a an RB5 impreza and loved it. Running costs were astronomical and parts werent cheap. Kept it for about 3 months and then bought a Leon Cupra R. Allthough the VR is old now compared to today's performance cars , for the money I havent driven anything really which gives me grin factor. With the suspension now sorted I think its a good fast hatchback capable of keeping with a lot of todays sporty hatches.
  14. Dont know how exactly he fitted it but there's not much room under there anyway. Might take it back and get him to look at it.
  15. I was underneath the car when the mechanic showed me. Seems the rubber mounts are weak. looks like if they were stronger it would tighten things up a bit.
  16. Very poor fit. Dissappointed to say the least. Live and learn i suppose. Big names not always the best.
  17. Well thats what i thought but they specify "Primed" also. It probably does mean that.
  18. Just noticed on Eurocarparts that they list a genuine VW Front bumper for the MK3 Golf Fully painted? Surely that doesnt mean actually painted?
  19. Oh great. Just spent over £400 for the worst fitting exhaust thinking it was one of the best. LOL! There we are.
