Yes i've seen bit and pieces for sale but it's strange why you can't buy the full kit.

Guys, does anyone know if genuine Hella quads are still being sold? Up unitl a few years back you could easily get them from Eurocarparts but now all that is available are copies. Are they now obselete?

Nice purchase. I assume it's the new shape Leon with the 2.0TFSI 240bhp engine and not the old 1.8T then? Sold mine a couple of months ago. Amazing performance for the money and looks awesome. No VR sound though!

Did you buy the car from Wales by any chance Rob?

I've just had the Boge Turbo gas shocks fitted with Apex springs. I wouldn't say it was awful trashy but it wasn't what I was expecting. But for the money I can't really argue.

Has anyone ever seen a MK3 with a set of Speedline Turinis on? Been contemplating BBS RX2 used obviously and the Speedline wheel but can only find a picture of a MK2 with them on. If anyone knows of any pictures that are floating around then please let me know. Thanks.

Hi all. Does anyone have any part numbers or model numbers for the Focal direct fit replacement speakers for the MK3? Thanks.

Hi guys. Does anyone have any info on the BOGE suspension items as in part numbers from GSF etc? Thanks. Gav.

Pipercross VIS kit recommended over a BMC... im confused..
ThermalP4 replied to TaNgOzVR6's topic in Engine Tuning
I know a few people who've had the Viper kit from Pipercross in the past and the quality for the price you pay is terrible. I can't comment on this VIS kit as i've not seen one, but currently having a BMC myself, coming from a K&N and Jetex Carbon Box, I can honestly say that BMC wins it for me. Good quality, not too loud and using VAG COM i've proved that it does lower intake temps. One thing I did't like about the BMC kit when I was fitting it was the fact that its Universal and thus requiring some customisation of the brackets supplied which can be difficult for some people. How to bleed the Master Cylinder?
ThermalP4 replied to ThermalP4's topic in Wheels, Brakes, Suspension and Steering
Yup just checked. Havent got that bleed nipple. Got a solid pipe coming out of it on mine. I'd like to know where the bleed points are on the Master Cylinder. I've managed to get the online Bentley manual but still cant see a reference to a bleed valve on the M C. Thanks for the picture by the way mate. Appreciate it. My problem started when I had my front calipers changed and SS hoses fitted. When I had the car back the pedal nearly went to the floor. You think the garage would have checked this. -

I'm sure mine doesn't look like that. Dont know if there's a different between a 92 VR and a 97? -
How to bleed the Master Cylinder?
ThermalP4 replied to ThermalP4's topic in Wheels, Brakes, Suspension and Steering
Just went out to have a look mate. I can see a hose coming out of the brake fluid reservoir but it goes into a small block type object with a nut on it. That's got a solid pipe coming out of it. Can't see anywhere that look like a bleed nipple/valve. Am i looking in the right place? -
Yeah just seen your other post answering my question. Thanks for that. I also recently had my front calipers changed and SS hoses put on and when I got it back from the garage the pedal would nearly hit the floor. I found out about the VAG COM ABS procedure and for some reason by just doing the output tests on the ABS unit it cured it a bit.

How to bleed the Master Cylinder?
ThermalP4 replied to ThermalP4's topic in Wheels, Brakes, Suspension and Steering
Nice one. Thanks mate. I think I got myself confused aswell! So you bled the Reservoir and not the master cylinder? -
Guys, Does anyone know how to bleed the BrakeMaster Cylinder? I've found what looks like a Bleed nipple right behind the brake pedal which i'm assuming is the Master Cylinder nipple. Doesnt look the same as the nipple on the Brale Calipers though. Looks like you have to undo a nut first. Can anyone confirm? Thanks.

Dodgy brakes question
ThermalP4 replied to ThermalP4's topic in Wheels, Brakes, Suspension and Steering
Just for the record I used VAGCOM and went through ABS bleed sequence. Seem to have sorted the pedal out by about 80%. -
Dodgy brakes question
ThermalP4 replied to ThermalP4's topic in Wheels, Brakes, Suspension and Steering
Is that something that can be sorted DIY or best left to the garage? I would have thought they would have noticed that when they took it for test drive after completing the work. -
Guys, Just had refurbed calipers fitted to the front and braided hoses all round on my 1997 VR. The pedal travel now is ridiculous. You have to push almost 70% down to get bight and when you slam on the anchors hard it almost goes to the floor and makes a clunk sound. Or what feels like a clunk. The brakes feel totally rubbish and hence i've lost confidence in them. Both discs and pads have less thn 1000 miles on them. Can anyone suggest what this can be? It is booked in to go back but thats next week. They also changed the fluid obviously. Any ideas? Thanks. Gav.

Guys, This is going to sound dull so no mick taking now! I was havng a play with the damping settings on my FK coilovers on the weekend and got distracted by the nextdoor neighbour. Totally forgot which was set to what so now i'm totally fooked. To make things worse the adjuster doesnt stop turning so its not even as though I can go all the way one way and then just one click at a time back the other way. Hope that made sense. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Gav.

Calling all Milltek Exhaust owners
ThermalP4 replied to spiffo's topic in Engine Maintenance and Problems
I've go the same problem as you mate but mine is de-catted so i'm assuming that's the reason for that. -
That guy is offering those wheels for £666 with tyres. I emailed him after I lost out to you on those rims
