  1. Sounds like sensor on its way out? mine cuts in and out every 3 weeks or so, and i put that down to the pads i use & heavy braking! someone'll give you the answer when the forum pics up durin the week.
  2. I think, theyre down by the brake disc. look for a cable running near the brake line & ABS Sensoors should be on the end! I think the mk3 in general has problems with ABS lights. Both my missus' mk3's had faults and needed sensors, mine however just requires switching of and back on to reset on the odd occasion as the fault is intermittent.

  4. Cat back exhaust, BMC air filter, decent plugs & leads. then look for software. theres generally mild tuning bits in the group buy section, and plenty of 'up for it' VR owners to give loads of friendly and helpfull advise. readup on the forums and welcome!

All i can suggest is have a play, go to the scrappy and get an old cat, cut out a section remove the guts and weld it back up. - The cheapest way of doing it. then you can always put it back for the mot (unless u knoew a very friendly MOT man...) I have removed the luggage box 9mid section) and had my rear box 'tuned' and that is loud, so start with the cat for obvious power increase reasons and go from there! have fun!!!
  7. i would say yes, mine is pretty much straight through, and rather noisy on long journeys, it doesnt make it idle too badly however. If my VR wasnt a toy, and i had to use it daily i'd put the exhaust back on, but for the rare occasion i use it, i can cope.. hope this helps
  8. it is indeed, and i got a spare but just dont know where to put it...! the wing vents are also there to remove heat from under the bonnet, I was tempted with the sprinter ones but got carried away... thats just me though!
  9. Yep, she was on the ramp for the last picture... Heres the latest, the others have been posted on the members cars part of the forum... Just had an even smaller pulley fitted, taking it up to a stage 5 (APPARENTLY!) OMG What a difference! clocked 140 and got scared on the test run, i dont like going fast, just the acceleration suits me and theres no shortage there... when i'm confident we shall introduce the nitrous...

  14. Come on people, Can we have a poll? These early angel eyes have just got to go, MOT is due and the lights need changing (some how the emissions have been passed!!???!) Still i never liked the lights. I preferred the old Morette twins i had before but.   19. Does any 1 know how to temporarily retard the ignition on a coil pack VR? I am looking to run my 75 BHP nitrous jets however The Manufacturers recommend retarding the ign by a couple of degrees. I am running a digital progressor and have an output to switch it, but have still to find a suitable way of retarding. %-6 The only way i can think of is to somehow use the ECU any ideas would be very helpful... Hampshires VR Nut

The ecu is uprated anyway, but had an underfueling problem, even with the secondary pump and injectors, however K&J (who installed the charger0 setup my n20 system without the nos, giving me additional fueling to compensate. Have just had the stage 1 remap done toay, all good, stage 3 going in early next week! yey!
  21. The back ones where, the front ones shere another make, front ones have held up to 300 horses this weekend though, so they must be ok!
  22. I recently bought a set with some wheels from Big P. They seem pretty good. not sure about the steel inserts though. perhaps try and pm Big P
