  1. Yes. If it sees a drop in oil pressure it flashes. Engine stalls so oil pressure drops, so light flashes. The engine dies, but the electrical systems are still monitoring.
  2. Course the oil light will come on if the engine dies. If the engines not running there's no oil pressure!!!!!!
  3. Dunno why your having a problem, I never once had slip on my 10psi pully. Is the 12 psi that much smaller????

Its usually up to temp within about 15-20 min on a cold day, depends on how i'm driving it though!!!

  8. No its not!!!! one end is shut, so the oil is always in contact with the rest of the oil in the engine, so its bound to get hot through heat transfer, when the oil gets to temp the plate opens and oil then flows through the radiator.
  9. because the oil is still in contact with the oil in the engine.....the plate shuts off one end, not both ends.......geddit?

    I'd do big brakes aswell, cheap mod to do and good results. Engine wise a Schrick for torque and cams for top end coupled with a remap or if you want big power go for a turbo or super charger. I guess it depends on what you want to aim for!! VR engines aren't cheap or easy to tune, not like a turbo car, but the rewards are worth the effort!!!

    I never said that!!! I said there's no point in chipping it until you have a schrick or cams because its and ODB2 car and there are very little or no gains to be had. How is that saying dont bother spending anything on it?? For the record my VR pushes 285bhp and owes me will over £10k in the last 2 years, so no, i'm not saying dont spend, i'm saying dont waste your money on pointless shit like chips when there's no gain to be had from a stock engine.

    There isn't one. Its ODB2 so its considered best to leave it alone until you have some proper engine mods like a schrick or cams.
  13. Your right, there not torquey engines. I dont think a chip will help you, if your really looking for torque look for a schrick manifold then get it custom mapped.
  14. TBH i don't see how a filter on its own can cause a power loss. How do you know the MAF isn't damaged????? You dont. There very delicate, and very easy to damage. The only real way to check them is using vag com or by swapping yours for a known good one.

  17. WHY IS EVERYTHING IN CAPS DO YOU KNOW HOW FUCKING IRRITATING IT IS????? IF its loosing power when its warm your probably sucking in hot air from the engine bay. Also a possibility that you damaged the MAF when you fitting the induction kit.

    Highline with under 10k on it??? Might just be on "choke" for a longer period of time than usual. Its bloody cold out there!
  21. Techniclutch have a very bad rep. I listed a load of examples of this recently on here. I have a helix organic, and I cant rate it highly enough. There not cheap but considering what it costs to fit a clutch its not worth cutting corners. My OEM clutch was struggling with 285bhp.
  22. It doesn't flow though Gary, it just sits!!! Then the plate opens then it flows. The Phirm will do the kits like mine for £120 +VAT Thats a Mocal oil cooler kit, with a thermostatic take off plate. If anyones interested give Sam a call on 08454 505760.
