  1. I have to confess I'm confused. Give Tim at the phirm a ring, he might be able to help you. He's very approachable and gives advice freely.
  2. Not trying to offend, for once, but do you really think the ring is the place to be taking your 3 year old???? The ring is called the "Green Hell" for a reason, its fast, and dangerous, i'd not be taking my kids with me, if I had any.
  3. No, The cams wont be able to spin cos the valves will be stopping them. Use Synta silver oil, most of us, me included, use it in our VR's.
  4. Depends what you want.
  5. I know who Sparkz is, I've met him, although he doesn't know it.
  6. I did hear a rumour that Pete had banned all humour on the forum.......those of you with personalities beware......you may get banned!!!!!
  7. Compound charging is the way forward, you can't argue with a reliable 170bhp, AND being a 1.4 it comes under the cheap tax bracket. Cant see it being too long before the tuners start pushing the power up well over 200bhp.
  8. The coaches where cool last time!!!! Nothing has body roll like a coach!!!
  9. Dont see how it can work very well. The VR inlet goes over the top of the engine, and as we know, heat rises.....can't see it being worth the ££.
  10. TBH, you dont need any of this shit. Your doing a few laps round a race track, your not turning your car into an all out race weapon.
  11. I'm averaging 15ish. Your not driving it properly John.
  12. Cant be that, otherwise fuel wouldn't flow........if your SURE you have a spark and your SURE fuel is getting to the rail which is sounds like it is then it has to be the rail/injectors/injector loom/ecu. I think.
  13. Dont want to state the obvious. Have you replaced the fuel pump relay?????
  14. You cant run underdrive pullys with a charger anyway. I remember reading somewhere that they cause crank damage.
  15. Yeah thats REALLY helpful I have a walbro fitted, i didn't need a remap. If you pull the fuel return line off are you getting fuel through??? Just because your not getting soot it doesnt mean there is no fuel. You have to ignite the fuel to get soot, and if you have no spark then you wont get soot......i feel your theory there is floored. Have you checked the plugs to see if there wet......or turned it over with the plugs out to make sure that your actually getting fuel in??? Could be a screwed ecu i suppose.

No, not in RHD anyway. Easy enough to DIY though.
  17. Agreed, Your first trip there you shouldn't be hammering your car round, you'll only crash it.
  18. I have looked at skylines, but I just cant justify the insurance cost. Its twice what I pay on the VR atm.
  19. Just test drove an S3, handled well, felt very planted especially considering the rain, but, it was slooooooooow!!!!! I do like them though!
  20. I'm looking at the S3 if i'm honest. Nothing else really interests me. I'm not after the top end power now that the charger gives, I think the midrange punch from a turbo is much more useful day to day, and I love the look of them!!!
  21. I'd say immobiliser or crank position sensor from the first part of your post, but the fact you cant talk to the ecu confuses me.
  22. LOL M5's are coming down towards 10k now too.
