    Yeah, I may try the battery from my m3 and give it a go with that.. Really can't see a problem with the starter, removed the sloenoid and it all appears fine but im not expert. Not sure about the rev counter tbh Can I try hooking up my battery charger while the battery is in the car and all joined up?

    Turned the key with the starter removed and the cog which turns the flywheel just shoots back and forth and sounds like a machine gun. It doesn't spin! I can spin it by hand though...

    How much extra oil do you put in with a 13 row mocal? Is it a case of putting in approx 6 ltrs, running the car until the sandiwch plate opens so the oil flows into the cooler and then check the oil level once cool again?

    On axle stands! Just whacked the battery on charge so will try again in a few hours..

    Just tried to fire my car up but starter motor just clicks! The starter has been pulled to pieces at one point due to chrome bits so is the problem with the starter motor being jammed or a low battery?

    Cheers for replies, I've got 1 t piece already. I just kinda thought I could get rid as my SPA gauges tells me all I need to know, has low and high pressure warnings e.t.c So are those sensors both oil pressure or is one oil temp and one pressure? Whats the one at the back with the little green wire that sldies onto the 'sensor'? cheers!!

    If someone can answer this I'll give them a crate of beer!! I have remote start as part of my clifford alarm... Since new enigne is now in, I have one wire which was in the bay and I think it went to the ignotion coil but not sure.. If someone can tel m exactly where this 1 wire for the remote start goes on the engine, i'll be superrrrrrrrr pleased!!! Its an OD1 coilpack VR

    Hi I've got an SPA dual gauge for oil pressure and temp.. Can I bin the 2 sensors which sit on top of the oil filter housing or will something spaz out if I loose those so I can fit my sensors for the gauge? cheers

Was this a case of you already being foot to the floor and then the M3 realising he's got a race on and him puttng his foot down, then I could understand that you'd pull on him but having owned a 328i Sport and racing a highline, I stayed even's with that.. I've now got an E46 M3 and it'd KILL's R32's, let alone VR6's and it's only got 20bhp more than the 3.22 evo, Don't mean to offend, my baby is a VR6 and I would love it to beat M3's but no chance and it's a fettled with 3.0.. Even when charged it would be close..

    Hi, I'm basically looking for a picture of VR6 fuseboxs where I can see the relays. I've done my conversion and wil be starting the car soonish and need to make sure i've got the required relays for it to start so a picture to compare to mine would be great.. Are the relays that are normally found ON TOP of the fuse box for optional equipment? If anyone has relay kicking about, pls let me know Thanks

    Hi. My VR is nearly alive, just got a few questions What is the BEST oil, I always read about synta silver 10w/40, is this the most recommended stuff? I plan on doing an oil change in 500/1000 miles anyway as the engine has been rebuilt.. I'm always running an oil cooler, does anyone know how much extra oil my engine will need with this in, I will go about with trial and error and checking the dipstick but a rough idea of adding an extra .5 litres or something would be nice.. It's a 13 row mocal jobby What kinda of pressure and temp should the engine get once 'warmed up'.. I've never started i
