  1. Well my brother isnt coming now, well not to camp anyway as he is coming with a mate of his on the Sunday.
  2. IF you have the money I would go for a superprint exhaust as they are good build quality and sound good too. Not over the top just a nice burrble. Or a Miltek system is also supposed to be very good as well. Most people go for either a BMC CDA or a RamAir induction kit. As to which one is better it depends on whether you run a cold air feed, looks, noise and cost. You wont get a bigger throttle body for yours as yours should be a later OBD2 spec car, which already has the bigger throttle body and different management. Stealth is based in warwickshire and AMD is in Bicester IIRC. Depends wha
  3. I think it will be M5, M42, M6, M1 or something like that! :-D Ill be at your about 1pm then Warren. ;-) Got to pick my brother up in Cheltenham on the way though...
  4. Not what I heard! Somebody a while back said their VW one didnt meet in the middle!
  5. Sorry to here this mate! I had exactly the same experience with an un-experienced bike rider who stalled the bike as he was pulling out onto the roundabout, at which point I had already decided to go onto the roundabout and ended up hitting him! And of course it was my fault because I hit him from behind, what a joke!
  6. Well done for supporting the club. Hopefully see you at a show at some point.
  7. Usually costs more if you have an earlier VR as they have a brake bias valve IIRC which gets in the way when replacing the rear axle bushes. Had mine done at Stealth and didnt cost too much at all but IIRC they used GSF bushes so not VW. Think it cost about £150.
  8. I think those ariels are usually for in car phone kits or something.
  9. Did yours have a hole in the tailgate glass before? If not then tell them to replace it with the right glass! You dont want some bodged on spoiler with a brake light, especially with the wiring poking through the glass!
  10. You can either use a hot air gun or use very hot water like I did. Then try and get it started on the end and strip it off slowly and carefully.
  11. Why is your insurance company asking you if you have a brake servo fitted? Could understand it if you done an engine/brake upgrade or something.
  12. I think OBD1 cars have 2 x 2pin connectors, usually under the gearstick gaitor but may be wrong.
  13. The 'free' version doesnt give you details about fault codes IIRC.
  14. Both days for me too. ;-) Surprised you havnt already put my name down! lol
  15. Did mine a few days ago. Come on people, Your club needs YOUR help!
  16. The lights look a bit too much orange to me but I like the wind deflector. ;-)
  17. Its a cone filter inside a carbon fibre tube construction. The carbon fibre stops heat build up. If you made one using polished stainless steel you would probably still have the heat problem, just not as much as an open filter.
  18. Im running 16x8 on coil-overs and im sure mine is lower than Matts (dubloke). Not had any arch rolling done..... yet!
  19. I thought the reason why it cost so much was because it wasnt just the saucer bit but the whole throttle body intake bit!
  20. I think you are looking at 17's at least to fit them, thats if they are 5x100 and you can get an adaptor to make the caliper sit right. Ive heard the TT set up being used, if thats the same?
  21. Sounds like its either the wiring to the heating element or the heating element itself. :-(
