  1. That's incorrect. Dealers sell G12+ (purple) which can be mixed with either G11 (blue/green) or G12(pink) safely.
  2. My mate bought a cable too (off ebay)and can't get it to work either. I bought one from skpang and it works fine. Did cost three times as much though.
  3. More info on fitting and other parts required here: www.the-corrado.net/wiki/index.php/312mm_brakes
  4. A chap on ebay is selling the brakes: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-Skoda-Audi-TT-312mm-Brakes-MK4-Golf-GTI-A3-Fabia-vRS_W0QQitemZ8004128659QQcategoryZ23013QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  5. You need mrk 4 callipers/carriers and disks, some new bolts and spacers and different brake hoses. Costs about
  6. They're even cheaper at www.sparkplugs.co.uk at 3.27 each with free delivery. Late vr's use a platinum plug(same part no. but with P at the end)
  7. It's a relay. I think it's either 109 or 167, can't remember which (I think it's the one on the right hand side of the fusebox)
  8. They are fairly easy to fit. I managed to jack the engine up enough to slide the old mounts out and the new ones in.

  10. Apparently the heat helps draw the exhaust gasses through the manifold so it's good to keep the heat in by wrapping it. In addition, it prevents secondary heating of other engine components.
  11. Theres a nipple on the inlet manifold to attach the vaccum hose near the pcv valve.
  12. You could try cleaning the contacts but tbh it sounds like a bad chip. If it's an American chip it probably won't work in your ecu.
  13. I'm not sure about the part no. but I know they cost about
  14. I've had both a ZR2 and a Vortech V1. One thing you notice is the Zr2 is a lot easier to spin so it spins up quickly and doesn't suffer from belt slippage. I think they recommend you change the oil every 15k miles in a zr2 and you have to remove the charger to do it. The Zr2 definitely ran cooler than the Vortech -you can barely touch the vortech when it's warmed up without burning yourself! Overall a good reliable unit. Things to watch out for on the Zr2 would be wear (dishing) of the toothed drive pulleys and oil leaks.
  15. He is a trader who is the UK importer for C2 (vortech based s/c kit). Send him a pm with your requirements.
  16. The vortech 9 (v9) is just the model of the charger. The vortech v1 and 2 are larger chargers than the v9 and produce more boost. They all use engine oil for lubrication and are very reliable.
  17. About 2k for a C2 charger. Can be bought off vwvortex but not worth it due to import duty and shipping.
  18. Yes the 312mm conversion I'm doing it at the moment.
  19. I think the stock exhaust even with a decat is restrictive as you can here the air rushing through the system on acceleration as if the exhaust can't cope with the extra air-flow.
  20. check the main water pump and transfer pipe too!
