Of course some of that information doesn't apply to European cars which do not have CELs , EGR, or smog pumps. miked26- you can swap from obd1 to 2 but need the obd 2 engine wiring loom, ecu, immobiliser box and key, upper intake manifold, throttlebody, intake pipe, maf, and lambda probe. The abs and lighting loom is separate on the obd1 so you don't need to use the obd2 lighting/abs loom which is built in to the engine loom.

Sounds like the linkeage needs adjusting.

I think you might need an idler pulley as you are non - aircon and a shorter belt as already mentioned. Other bits you might need if you havent got them aleady are an uprated front engine mount and a new set of cooler sparkplugs. I don't think most people bother with a compression test, generally these engines handle small levels of boost no problem. The blower should last a longer time - up to 100k miles as long as you change your oil regularly, don't run a really small pulley or have the belt too highly tensioned which puts strain on the bearings. I think most people would highly recomend t

Stokevwspares did mine a while back. Think they charge around the £500 mark. If you want to do it yourself there is a guide on the corrado forum and vwvortex. -
Carl at stokevwspares.co.uk does these conversions all the time. I'm sure he could give you a competitive price,

Don't think you can as it would cause stalling.

The most common cause of the belt snapping is the actually tensioner bearing giving up causing the tensioner pulley to sieze up. There's a really cheap fix for this as a new bearing can be fitted into the pulley - costs about £5. This is really worth doing as the bearing will run dry eventually and cause the belt to snap.

Sounds like it could be a sensor (maybe the cam sensor) Are you running with the maf connected? -
A standard vag clutch (not gsf or eurocarparts rubbish) should be good up to 300 hp. I never had a problem with my stock clutch running 290 bhp.

Try Carmen at QMR Motorsports (Canada) who are a dealer for C2 Motorsports. I bought stuff of them and they are reliable.
-
I think you mean smaller pulley. Get them from c2motorsports. Stage 3 usually means adding somekind of intercooler and upping the boost.

anyone know where to source 248sc cams?

I bought some new off vwvortex 1/2 price. They are quite rare but I don't think they're worth the money tbh. -
The short pipe goes from the crankcase vent to the catchcan then the longer pipe goes from the catch can to the supercharger intake pipe (onto on of the branches) You'll probably have to trim the pipe to make the catchcan fit properly. Simply disconnect the breather valve as it doesn't do anything anyway.
