    Before i changed mine the water dial sat vertical at 90 and the oil was up at about 100 when the car was up to temp, driving hard these both went up slightly. If now added a neuspeed thermostate (opens at a lower temp) and additional oil cooler, now the water never goes above 70 unless stationary or driving really slow and the oil never goes above 84 even at 100mph+

    I have got thermotronic on mine, don't know if its the standard on vr's but i have suffered from the above problem, i've also always wondered what that thing was next to the head unit was, now i know, mine is also full of dust, Also the fan speed dial used to only work on number 4, the face of the dial has had heat damage so i'm guessing its something to do with that, recently it has started to work again on all 4, strange. Got a full system spare though inc fan etc and all piping so will get round to shifting it over someday [ Edited Wed Apr 06 2005, 09:43PM ]

    i had this problem too, just didn't want to pull too hard incase i broke something, you just need to pull and twust though and they will come off. i had the whole lower manifold off the car and found if worked if you started at one end of the fuel rail and pulled while holding the manifold with your feet then get some gloves and pull each injector out while the lower manifold is being push with you feet. you'll find you own technique prob but thats they way i did it

    same with me mines on 130k and not a singlt rattle from the engine, maybe they have been done before, or maybe the car has just been look after

    i had that problem also, will get some pics up asap basically they clips go round the rear beam and tighten up, not too hard but i was worried when i was fitting mine that i was doing it wrong but just went with it and its worked out fine

    not that i've ever been pulled for mine, i've had them one for about 3 months now and not even a turn of the head from them

    i have a feeling i may have damaged my exhaust minifold when changing my engine mounts so it gives me the opertunity to get an uprated one. I know TSR do one but it steel and an Ashley one from Awesome GTi (anyone used or have knowledge of these), can you get them else where or has anybody got any plans/drawings of one that i can get a copy of and get one made up. [ Edited ]

    Just a quicky i know how to do it mainly but i need to know what type of led's are needed if anyone does know of a 'How to...' it would be useful though.

    or you have a neuspeed one, my neuspeed one make it sit at 70 if the cars moving at any speed, if in traffic or ery slow it goes up to 90ish

    Think it might just be Biggar again as i'm away in Australia for some of the summer and need to save for that next year though i'm going to try and get to alot more.

    thats what i was planning on doing but also maybe a light smoke on the front lense, just geting everything ready for when i have the time and money to smooth the fog/indicators out on the front bumper, also i'm now all ready for a set of hid's if i want them

    What I did today: Fitted new side strips, Fitted crack pipe, Fitted additional oil cooler, Fitted one new headlight to see what it looked like, Fitted new oil filter For tommorrow want to: Fit Vibratechnics engine mounts front and back (gearbox already done), Get injectors off old manifold and put one my ported one, Re-fit manifolds, alternator etc, Fill with oil and coolent, Play about with the suspension to get right, Fix a fog light, Re-fit the old lights (well maybe might run the chav ones till tuesday till my next day off is, they are going to get smoked) And hopefully fit my new shoes if
