  1. Cheers! So whats the actual size socket I need for the spark plugs and does it have to be deep type?(Full VW history up until now, never had to do them myself!!)
  2. what tool are people using to remove the spark plugs? Tried using the search, but to no avail. &|
  3. I think you are thinking of the fuel pressure regulator on the end of the fuel rail (round gizmo)
  4. Nope! it comes out of the rocker cover on the back left, and joins into the elbow just before the TB.
  5. That sounds like a familiar problem,i've noticed my pipe is split where it joins the one way valve (UFO) thing, and I get a little bit of smoke now and again.I put it down to worn valve stem oil seals, and I'm about to embark on a full engine stripdown (both timing chains, new clutch, guides tensioners etc etc..) but after reading this I may try and change the hose first, and see what results I get.BTW mine is only on 82,000 miles, which I think is a bit low for worn valve stem seals! might be OK after all.
  6. On mine it is a sticker on the alternator end of the rocker cover, but there will probably be a number on the block somewhere as well.
  7. Yep mines the same, always wondered what it is!!
  8. Jeez,I wasn't expecting it to be that bad!!
  9. Sorry to hear of your bad news Justin, hope you get back on the road ASAP.
