    GOlf VR6 auto

Mines is just getting box rebuilt at 61K, clutch in top gear was dodgy , looks like I got it early enough since its going to be
  3. I have an auto and it is nice to drive, still very fast and nice easy driving. However as they say auto's seem to have problems , mine at 60K miles is starting to get sticky when it locks up in top gear. Nothing major but a nuisance at times,. I imagine it will be expensive to fix, since almost anything requires box out and if you do that you may as well refurb. So more likely to have to fork out on an auto box but it is nice lazy driving and you can do over a ton in 3rd if you want to.
  4. Does anyone know what controls the kickdown on Auto VR6. Flooring the pedal must cause a signal to be sent to ECU, any chance it would be the potentiometer on the throttle body??
  5. I have just put Koni adjustable suspension , 30mm drop on at softest setting and it seems pretty good. Firm but quality ride. Have not done many miles and it had original 11 year old suspension on previously so I suppose anything would be an improvement. However it does seem pretty good.
  6. I am changing inlet manifold anfd throttle body fitting enlarged , flowed TB and 2.9 manifold and new Milltek exhaust. I am assuming the ECU will reset itself automatically, am I correct.
