  1. The LHD ones sould not pass a UK mot. Anyone feel free to correct me on this.
  2. If they were RHD, (which i do not believe they are) I would jump at them. Having said that I think the In-Pro ones look better.
  3. 6 months to sell something that looks that good?
  4. A friend of ours recently rebuilt my engine. 6 new exhaust valves and guides New piston rings Timing chains and tensioners Kent Cams Clutch The job itself was nowhere near as scary as I thought it would be. One tip if you are going to do this- buy the special clamping tool thingy for fitting the piston rings into the bores. Remember the block is not flat! You will also need lots of torque settings for all the nuts and bolts. Failing that the the head done, throw the block away and buy a 2.9 bottom end instead. £800 or so I believe, could even be the cheaper way of doing it?
  5. On a run mine sits between 102-106. My other halfs Highline usually sits a little below 100.
  6. Its certainly one of a kind..... with an evil clutch!
  7. You robbed yourself. Lokks like a very nice car.
  8. There are far worse things you could tell her! She should be greatful that you have a car and not another woman.
  9. Couple of things to check. Any excessive smoke from the exhaust? Check the oil for signs of water contamination and the reverse in the coolant header tank. Any of the above could point towards a head gasket.
  10. Could even be the coilpack/transformer if you have done plugs and leads already
  11. Glad you found it as easy as I did. Not to mention cheap and effective too.
  12. Its sounding like this site should be a football free zone! Good plan! Essex near J26 of the M25 car park.
  13. Its even more hilarious, when you think they both use Highway as their underwriters!!!!!
  14. Sounds very similar to an e-mail that the chairman of Club Polo recieved a few months back when he was trying to sell his GT. Its a scam - do not get involved with it!
  15. Tommy, same happened to me with HIC. Quote went up about £150 on the previous year and I had turned 30 which I thought was supposed to have helped! Tried them with the Polo GTi too and the quote was interstellar! Both cars ended up with Greenlight (along with the other halfs 2 as well) and got a much better deal.
  16. I want one of the SWG RSi spoiler jobbies with the ducting in the middle section. They want £200 for them, if they are available yet. If not the top one. Have you considered Cult Society side skirts? That is assuming you don't already have a set of SWG ones?
  17. If its only doing 30 miles a week, its not really getting a chance to get hot enough to burn the moisture off. If its had say a new header tank, then I would say be wary. If not bite the bullet and go for it. Welcome to the gang.
  18. Looks very nice and no doubt took many hours of polishing! Yes I am jealous.
  19. We have all of ours with Greenlight. Did the trick for us. No modification seems to be a problem.
  20. Forgot to say it had a personalised "D" reg plate.
  21. before you do it, check that your insurance company is ok with it.
  22. Nice. So Mangold what are they Keskins/Bocks? Where did you end up buying them from in the end?
