  1. That has got me thinking. Now got a Land Rover Freelander for everyday use. I bought my VR 4 years ago with 44,000 miles. It now has 64,000 miles. So does about 5,000 miles a year. This will now be less, as it will now be used as a second car. When I take it to work, it is about a mile up the road, so it is a 2 mile round trip. I have not used the car for over a week now, so the mileage is staying low but short trips when I do use it. As I'm using it as a second car, better start taking it on a few longer runs or change the oil and filter more regularly!
  2. I was going to upgrade my bulbs, but the lenses were very tinted. I've got upgraded bulbs on my new Hellas and they are extremely bright! I still like the look of the quads though. Just fancied a change after 3 years of quads. 8)
  3. I paid £8,000 for mine 4 years with 44,000 miles, which was an average price at the time for a good Highline. TOUCH WOOD, if I han't done any modifications to it, I would not have spent any money on it all apart from the normal petrol, tyres, T&T and servicing. I've had no repairs to do on it at all. The brakes are have never needed doing yet while I've had it. My mate, the mechanic who does my car says the brake pads and discs have got plenty of life left in them. I only do 5,000 miles in it roughly a year, so keeping it young at 64,000. There are a lot of days when I don't drive it, as

  10. Glad to hear it! 8) Don't forget to give me first dibs on the crystal lights!
  11. Yeah very good show. Yeah I noticed the black Golf go down the road and around the corner! Loved the 'old skool' cars! 8) Where did they all come from? Probably enthusiasts etc. It was like watching Sweeney all over again. That brown Cortina GXL they were handbraking around the corners was Mint. Wouldn't fancy lending/hiring one of my concours car (if I had one) for it to be used like that! Jon 8)
  12. Well 'ard! I tell ya, Lamborghini have really come on form since Audi took over... Well that is not surprising with all the quality Audis on the market! Jon 8)

  14. Congratulations Mate! We're also expecting a baby on February 3rd! 8) Did you get your rear lights?
  15. Yeah, I've heard about the Polo 1.4 Supercharger and Turbo. Reckon it won't be on the Golf yet, as the R32 may have competition, which would not be good on the same car! !lol
