  1. just2zang, if your getting 14mpg something must be seriously wrong &| before the car was modded it was approx 32-33mpg.
  2. I get approx 25mpg from auto VR which is good as sc, cams VSR etc. Amit, with the auto box keep the revs up and don't labour the engine otherwise it would drink Guiness quicker than my mate North! N.B. When driven flat out, 10mpg
  3. Only thing is VR6 Turbo is that turbo charging will put to much power through the auto box and blow it, but if you have other ideas post them 8o)
  4. Here's the car! [ Edited Mon Jan 26 2004, 03:38PM ]
  5. Ok amit, you can't put a Quaife ATB on an auto. yeah i think autos have that stupid annoying restriction placed at 130mph. It doesnt go beyond 130mph/5500 rpm Where did you get this from? I've had 150mph (private motorway) out of it but bare in mind this was on 17's and I have a road angel which shows the speedo to be out by 5mph. The sc comes to life at 3000rpm but certainly not sluggish for 100+, this is the best bit! To get the best out of an auto box is to hold it the gears, there is an art to using the auto box and most people think there rubbish. I can't use a manual as in a wheelchair
  6. amit, my filter is tucked in behind the head light just getting ideas for the best place. jcorallo, I'll get some pictures up soon.
  7. As mentioned i have a auto. Nik saran dont recommend anything above 250bhp on this cars, cos it could risk blowing the gear box. I have a s/c VR with VSR, cams etc with auto box which is coping so far! I think the VR is useless pulling of from traffic lights against M3's but my mate has a scooby which pulls away at the start then the VR comes into its own at 70 mph and I'll fly past! Mr2 Turbo's, Type R's & standard scooby's are a waste of time, Porsches are much more of a challenge!
  8. Its pretty tight in there so anyone got any ideas? Have thought of BMC or Pipercross Viper as these protect the filter from heat and you can duct the cold air feed.
  9. If you've got 8-10k speak to mina S/C VR 07976 156007 or minas@freeuk.com.
  10. mina, this guy sounds dodgy so go with Mangold's advice but don't forget your hat!!
  11. A VW dealer will plug in their computer and work out which wheel isan't registering speed. Bit of luck the sensors just need a clean.
  12. You don't need to cut the bumper to put a tow bar on, I've got a Witter tow bar which fits fine
  13. binliner my supercharger isan't for sale but there is one advertised on Stealth's website for £1900. N.B. Cars with air con don't need the extra pulley wheel but if don't have air con make sure the bracket has the pulley on it.
  14. You can supercharge a standard VR as the kit just bolts on, they claim this will but the power up to 245bhp without any others mods. Been running the Z-Engineering for 11k without any hitchs. Speek to Vince at Stealth ZR2-Engineering charge for sale. [ Edited Thu Jan 15 2004, 11:25PM ]
