  1. think most people get ET35...but i cant be certain.
  2. all n plate onwards had that splitter (which, yes, you're right is the same as the cl one) easily sorted though, get an earlier vr6 one..just clips on. i'd go for a geniuine one mind, a friend bought a copy and it didn't last long. o.e. ones can take a fair amount of abuse.
  3. oh, nothing to stop you going...only about £500 (unless you stack it like a m3 did just after i broke down - he did ?15000 of damage to the armco)
  4. well, here's the facts... i'd paid out £300 for hotel and ferry already, which would not be refundable at that late a stage...the car was ok a few weeks before. the car was running on safe mode, not about to die. what actually broke was totally unrelated to anything else that had happened before. i didn't loose a penny more by going, than i wouldn't have lost if i'd stayed at home.

  6. yeah i should have thought of that! i just got a JL audio 10W0 for £40! i know of someone selling a kenwood 10" in proper kenwood box as well...PM me if interested you should be able to get an amp for £50ish of ebay, try legacy ones...cheap, but good. but you'll need to buy the sub first to know what power you need. if you then budget £50 for the sub and box...second hand again...then it leaves you £100, which you can get a new h/u for (as above). thats a much better plan than what i said. get the components later.
  7. how much would the alcantara cost to cover the headlining? i bet you could get it flocked for less, and it would probably be a better idea.

  11. 325's are pretty even with the vr6. i know the bit of downhill you mean...surely you could get it upto more speed than that. i know someone who did 130 down there with a duff hall sender (so lots less bhp). yeah, you'll have the vts on motorway...but if you were doing 0-60 sprints, or on back roads it would be another story i think.
  12. then save up for an amp and a sub (JL audio 10" in a seled box is my fav, and i find it works well even with a legacy amp!)
  13. i'd say get a set of caliber CASCV6 components for the fronts doors/dash - http://www.huetcaraudio.co.uk/acatalog/index.html?http%3A//www.huetcaraudio.co.uk/acatalog/Product_Categories_Performance_Component_Series_36.html&CatalogBody then try and get the best single cd headunit you can, kenwood are usually best value for money, try getting last years models (if they have a few left) at bargain prices. the one to go for are the ones that have bass/mid/treble control (as opposed to just bass/treble) and have crossovers integrated into them. though, having said that, this seems very good - ht

  16. nah, i know this one...if it hadn't switched off the dash lights wouldn't come on...had it happen before
  17. ah..see i use autoglym vinyl and rubber care on the plastics, that gets anything off.
  18. only has an aftermarket immob...and i know its switched off, cause it wouldn't try and start if it wasn't.
  19. cause you ain't being smooth enough with the pedal?! lol vr's have quite a responsive throttle anyway so it ain't easy at the best of times. could be made worse by worn engine mounts.
