  8. Morning @Darkhorsepower What is your budget? Do you plan to keep N/A ? Can recommend a BMC CDA if you are planning on keeping NA, they give a great sound. some 263 or 268 cams would also give some performance yields, of course would need to be remapped and would recommend a live rolling road mapping session at stealth racing for example. One modification overlooked is a 3.68 final drive in the gearbox, this will turn the somewhat lazy VR6 into a real animal on the road with instant acceleration available in almost any gear. It will involve removal of the gea
  9. Hey @MunnyVr6 Check the pinned post in this forum section: I was also given this link for the Stealth Racing install as it uses the adaptor they provide. https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/mobile/folders/0BxlkiQeOVj8tXzdxM3Q5MXY0X3c If you need any help, just post up with your problem as did this installation myself, was fairy straight forward, just be carful when removing and disassembling the old unit. Pete

  12. Come on guys. Really need some interest to Warrant organising the event [emoji1303]
  13. Some more info on this. It will be between 17th - 28th July - exact date will be firmed up ASAP and also location is likely to be Peterborough. I realize its a personal thing having someone else drive your car, however it is a road test feature so the person who is writing the feature will need first hand impressions on how the car drives. The chap has MSA and drives many cars a year (after all its his job!) and has full PL insurance up to £10M so no need for concern and also regularly competes with his Mk2 Golf 16v in events. If you are interest
  14. I am working with Modern Classic Magazine with a cover feature, we are looking for some Golf VR6's / R32's, Golf R's (first generation). The shoot will likely take place in the next 3 - 4 weeks around the Noth Cambs, Northampton / Rutland area. Cars would be required all day 9AM - 17:30 and members from the magazine will need to drive the cars as well, they are fully insured and have PL Insurance upto £10 million pounds. This is a great opportunity for anyone who falls within the criteria of the above and look urge anyone interested to reply to
  15. I don't know yet as its a new build, wont really know until a month before so will be too late so don't plan it around me mate
  16. Here's some useful info taken from another forum, you will probably be able to identify where the fault is yourself without a sparky involved at this point. So, first up: I believe that only early VRs have a 2-stage fan setup. Possibly all and certainly all late VRs have a 3-stage fan setup. Essentially, if you've got 3 temp senders in your thermostat housing, you have 3-stages. If you have AC or an auto, you'll always have a 3-stage fan setup regardless of age. Fan switching temperatures while the engine is running These are approximate as it depends on the age
  17. possibly interested depending on the date (moving house etc... around then)
  18. have you tried VW Heritage perhaps? Just make sure you get a genuine blue cap for the bottle and you'll be fine What other areas are you planning to tackle on the cooling side?
  19. Hi @Zeezee This probably a good starting point; Once you have removed inlet manifold you will clearly the bolts holding the rail on, and is fairly straight forward compared to the manifold removal, you may need to give a firm tug as the injectors can sit tight. careful when re-fitting the injectors as easy to pinch an o ring and could cause fuel to leak.
  20. A bit late now i'm afraid @noggin the article has been completed with the input @scholsey
