What is the reason for the rear upgrade? extra stopping power or looks? to me the rear upgrade is not worth the hassle or cost, fronts is a different matter altogether.
Cool. Make sure there's no air leaks if you've slackened them and that there's a good seal still. You do get a bit of a flat spot at switch over point but should pull to the red line, my advice would be to get it mapped with the Schrick now fitted for best performance. Club Chairman
sorted now pete, you were correct, slackened them off and the flap moves at about 4000rpm. low down torque is so much better although it seems ever so slightly flat at 4000rpm and above for some reason? it was remapped @ stealth before the schrick obviously!
Ok this is a good easy to follow DIY guide http://www.vaglinks.com/Docs/VW/MKIII/VWVortex.com_VW_MKIII_Ignition_Replacement_DIY.pdf I dont have one to check, but l think the correct part number is 6N0905865 and this is what you are looking for (always shop around for price at to check fitment for your car) http://www.volksbits.co.uk/servlet/the-17032/Ignition-starter-Switch-BLACK/Detail no you wont need to do anything for the keys, because you are just changing the switch and not the whole barrel your current keys will still be used and work.
Rotary mate, scholl s17 with scholl spider pads. Yeah vw hard ish paint but the spider pad combo works well. It's all in the prep mind. Clay, tardis, polish, ipa, wax, seal. The mulberry should shine well with the richness of the colour. I have some menzerna polishes here aswell but the scholl is nicer to work with.
Started thinking about fitting the front bumper, so wanted to get a number plate on there but obviously without any visible holes and easy to remove for any shows etc,so knocked up this bracket at lunchtime; Thought that attaching it with self tappers would be a bit crap because if you screw them in and out a few times chances are it'd end up falling off with me driving over it! So used a couple of rivnuts so I can use m6 screws and it should last a lot longer; Bracket on; Number plate on; Then popped the spoiler on and slid the bumper on; Also have won a complete us spec rear bumper reinfor
