hey nickske,hows the swap going chap?..not much doing on mine unfortunatly as funds are tight..will be sorting the welding of inner/outer sills in next week or so thats on my mind,,so stress full...but once thats done(oh,and rear bushes,,brake pipes,few electrical probs!!)lol..should be ready for summer(i hope),,you getting stuck in to yours????

im not sure myself tbh but i think its electric as its not run of the engine,its under the tank at back..did you actually trying to turn engine over or just ignition on?? -

yeh,getting old now so parts corrode/wear out, if u got a slave ordered you might as well just change it, get all the bits that are associated with clutch and clean them so you have a level playing field when it all goes back together...gd luck and keep us posted

hi,could be the seal/piston in slave faulty or sticky,,give it a good bleed with fresh fluid and if still the same replace I guess is only real sure way...nothing fouling the clutch pedal is there!!!

thanks for advice chaps..mine has square indicators but obd socket is by ashtray??..but is obd1....think I have 280 brakes(if so i have a brand new set of 288 discs for sale!)..bealie.how are u.... Pm me a price dude..thanks cheers lads..

hmm,have to look into that then as I bought them as gti parts,if they are not gti bits and are just mk3 then i have grounds for a refund as I bought them because he told me they were gti ones....plus I was told in the beginning from a trusted member on here they would fit if gti ones..anyone know if gti bottom arms have the same brackets on them for anti roll bar drop links as vr6??cheers

yup,,its well worth it on older cars now,,the difference is amazing..but hard to swallow the cost as you dont see them,,but like been said,worth for a keeper!!imo

hi,when i open the drivers door only that opens,the system makes a noise but only the drivers door unlocks..now,,if i sit in car for 10/12 seconds it closes on its own?..but if i turn ignition on an pull up the door pin(or if im outside of car and do it with key in door lock(with ignition on()it all works as it should,fuel cap/boot/ every door...anybody got any ideas plz as VERY ANNOYING

behind my light switch there is a red plug thats not plugged in to anything,nor has anywhere to plug in,,anyone know what its for??adjustable headlight aim maybe???thanks

need the water pipe that goes to obd1 throttle housing/coolant tank/and heater matrix but I need to bridge them(for time being)mine has been bodged badly,,has anyone got a full one please...ta

yep,checked already pete,one 20 amp was ok,the other was 5 amp and was blown..changed it and still the same,,it clicks when i put live to the fans and they work then,but still no closer to finding out whats wrong..could it be dodgy sensor in thermostat housing??

hmm,knew it was gunna cause headache ..took thermo sensor plug of and with ignition on bridged it and...nothing..checked fans direct and all ok,so either multi plug sensor gone,or am I right in saying that it has a fan controller box somewhere??if so where to is it...ive wired them to a switch inside for time being as I cant risk it cooking,think it may be best in long run as u get better control but would like to know if it is a fault with box/sensor/plug!!

hi,does anyone know if tdi mk3 suspension mounts are the same/will fit a vr6 95 model...been told that as its diesel its shares a lot with vr6 as its heavier...??any info appreciated
