  3. just wondering has anyone bought one of the exhaust manifolds that sell on ebay,the £150 odd ones,,,do they give any power gains?are they worth getting or is it just best to have a decent downpipe (as I've got),,I've heard that the standard twin type manifold flows not bad for mass production,so don't want to get one just for the sake,though they look pretty trick(for the price!).any thoughts

  8. maybe have a word with a engine builder who has worked on these before,or the person who will skim/bore the head/block..as u say you need to get this right or problems will ensue....i guess it will depend on what parts/mods you do/use so get some advice from a engine builder I would say,,they will be happy to help,

  10. could be thrust bearing on its way out,but That's usually when you depress pedal...when was clutch last changed??.any metal particles in oil when u changed it??..does it sound bad when engine running or when moving??

  13. yup,I just bought one for £18 on the bay,so will throw that on when it comes..not worth the hassle if it happens again,,I could see it has been on there a while so got a new one...thanks for advice bb
  14. took it out and was a bit shitty with some hardened gunk stuck to it...cleaned it all of and replaced the rubber O ring,all seems good but its probably breaking down electrically when hot so replacement is the only answer I guess...see if it happens again and if so new one will go on....

  18. thanks mate,really appreciate that,,yep its the same symptoms you describe,only happens when hot(90 degrees +)leave it 20/30 mins and boom!!fires straight up....before I look for location anyone can tell me where it is and what they go for...(only got a fone no computer atm!).cheers jon
  19. yeh,you think so Jon??whereabouts is it and how to change mate,but how come it started after tapping fuel filter/lines??or just luck!!..did u get filter ok??
  20. sometimes its takes half hour to start when very hot...seems like a vapour lock,done it about 4 times but last time I banged/tapped the fuel filter/lines and it fired up,its a new filter and i took it off last night and blew through the fuel line and alls good,,was thinking of putting foil around the lines where they clip on side of head(surely they get TO hot by there)..any ideas???cheers

  22. hmmm,if you got a good feeling clutch pedal then it should've bled ok.. Does the pedal have bushes/washers in the pivot???where it goes onto box??I know rs turbos had em and could be a right pain,but they usually collapsed!!
