yep,cheers bb,but its not that simple unfortunately as the maf sensor is a different type to the one on there.its the metal type,I have the plastic type on mine at the mo,which is also 4 wire,the gti is 3 wire,.i need to see a pic of bog standard vr6 so I can see what a obd1 type maf sensor is like,also are all obd1 sensors 4 wire ...i ve been top the airbox stuff I same as gti,but it seems not unless I have different parts/set up on mine...groan!!!!

Hmmm,reading that back its obvious the 3 wire maf plug wont work!!..pmsl!!but I've been sent a gti 8 valve full airbox,maf sensor and plug..I know the airbox fits but will the maf body and inlet tube fit on my obd1 6?????or is it best to leave k+n on it??

hi all,need a pic of a obd1 airbox top and maf/inlet tube please if anyone can help.converting over to standard and do you think I can find a pic!!!!.also is gti maf the same??(I have 4 wires from vr6 maf plug,gti has 3,)can it be made to work??any advice/pic very much appreciated ..

ibs,sorry to seem like I'm a messer mate but ok for discs now.i thought id bought new rears the other day.only just found out there front ones!!!.so ok for your ones..wouldnt have a set of rears would ya?? -

help.the big plug goes into back light switch..the red smaller one isn't plugged into anything(nor has no where to go?)and the airbag/abs cover has some sort of pcb with diodes??but no warning lights at all..stumped??anyone know what the small red plug is for,,where it goes and how come I have a pcb in the airbag/abs cover??

not thought of swissing the box yet,does it help at all??.havent thought about alloys yet but I like multi spoke designs so will see what's about..whats the biggest I can get away with without catching arches??16?17!!.anyone got any for sale!!.got the airbox coming next week,just bought front discs/hoses/belts/ few other bits n bobs...going to put new wishbones/bushes etc on front and back,,,sort the brakes as 2 are sticking on(car was laid up for a while)...just general maintenance etc..hopefully will be ok!!

cheers,well its pretty standard anyway,just has a 57i kit and full stainless exhaust,but don't want the k+n as I've had em before and there nothing but hassle,but it does go well so I will put the standard airbox back on,see if its better,,if not ill put the cone filter on or sell it....the alloys can stay but I think there's a buckle in one or two,so will maybe go for another set,but not standard ones,,they're horrid!!!.found a scrapper same colour as mine down scrapyard,but not vr6,,got lovely doors on it..mine has rust on both,but only a patch on each,so will get those doors I guess...its c

heya,well sorted a load of bits for this today..thanks to ebay...got parcel shelf(mk4 DOESN'T fit btw!)got a full airbox c/w filter maf sensor and plug!!so got a cone filter for sale!..just after a good pair of rear shocks,some brake pads all round..oh and a win on the lottery and ..SHAZAAM!.bobs ur mums bro!!

got clocks sorted and put them in,theyre the silver faced ones and look ok,rev counter reads a bit faster but thats ok,..oh and there 140 not 160 mph,but suppose im not gunna be going that fast!!!yet!!..didnt manage to get pics,,damn,,i will get some up soon though,,also got a black parcel shelf coming but would still like to know if the mk 4 shelf wouldve fitted??anyone?..

haha,,yep the rev counter doesn't work properly so think I will go for the clocks from lilfuzzer on here (cheers chap).so glad there's 6 leads coming out power pack or iwouldn't be happy!!!!.need to know if a mk4 parcel shelf will fit mk3??

what I will do is get a few pics up and a good check out of stuff so a id can be done...i haven't really looked at it much since getting it but will do this weekend.
