My Gem, only had 3 months. £800 114000 miles, since then had a new windshield, new maf, refurbed throttle body, sealed the rubber bungs under the car, new rear light seals, de rusted and resprayed areas (not full body) , new glovebox, though today the matrix blew, nice 110°C water on your ankle while parking. Ouch!

Hi im alberto enriquez from León México (rally land) last weekend and i bought a 99' GTI vr6 with some extras; BBS Rs 005 16", mkv Gti seats, mk7 Gti steering wheel, hella magic colours tails, gti monster mats and magnaflow 2.5 exhaust. these are some pictures:




This is my 99 cabrio with 17"x9.5" sawblades corvette and i want to switch the wheels with de vr6.

Just renewed my membership so I can get the guide to taking the dash out.

Been a member for a couple of years now so i thought i would post some pics of my P reg solid black golf vr6.....i had a vr6 back in 95 should of kept it but you live and learn hay...had this one for a few years now
 
Full vw sh...all mots,bills,tax discs.from new...recaros its also had new discs pads shocks springs brake hoses tank straps ect all round to keep it nice and fresh.







 

It's supposed to be a closed system that recirculates the air from the crankcase, as the maf has already accounted for it in the Ecu fuelling calculations etc.

Luckily it seems a friend knowS a friend.... who is a welder! So I might be in luck for a job that works, doesn't need to look nice as gooing under trim and car in my opinion.
And I 100% do not have 700 for a while knocking around .

Still waiting on the Silicone hoses, so just a quick before and after of the engine bay

How much does it cost abouts to get a vento conversion? Really want to do this to mine. Love the look it gives

In between the rain,hail thunder and bits of sunshine today I've got the engine bay cleaned up a bit so it matches the rest of the car! Got rid of some of the cavity wax on the chassis legs, horrid stuff! Here's a before and after of the inner wing;
Even cleaned and polished the inside of the bonnet;
Did it by getting a bit brave with the jet wash,some thinners on the cavity wax,finished off with a bit of engine laquer, so now it's a bit closer to the finish of the rest of the car;
The car got a bit wet for the first time much to my annoyance! But got a lovely bit of beading;

First off..... I hate heater matrixs,
Secondly..... I hate air con more
And thirdly.... I hate vw for making what should be a simple thing, a near on impossible task that can make me see red.
Why would they design a vehicle so badly underneath that to change a heater matrix on an air con model literally means removing your whole air con system, knee bars the lot.
I am giving it to a garage to do the rest before I koose it with it.
Right now I hate my vr6.
Cant wait to spend another £200 in labour charges

Yep, I hear that! I've spent a fair bit labour wise on mine. I work on the theory it's better to pay someone to get fucked off with my car, my top blows when a piece of plastic/metal/glass won't do what I'm carefully and methodically trying and do with it, wether on my car, round the house or at work. I'm a really placid bloke too, but inanimate objects make my blood boil when they don't behave!!!!!!

Buy and sell vr6 parts. Make a small comission on sales like ebay. Only 1% kinda thing.

Rifht ive found that elusive nut..... are VW taking ze piss! Its literally been buried by the air con. Wish i didnt have air con now lol. Need a 5 year old who had 3 ekbow joints and abnornally long arms to get to it.
Im genuinly stumoed how to get that offf??
Suggestions would be a god send 0:)
