    Nice work. Can I ask where you ordered the wings from? Or was it a VW job?

    I put a VW Parts International Stage 2 chip in mine and was really impressed. I did have to send my ECU to them for socketting though. But was worth the money. The chip will be for sale too as I am now charged

    Ah I see. If this was owned by who I think it was I believe he ripped a few people off on ukmk3's on Facebook. Thats only from what I've read though

    You can do or you can disconnect the battery then re connect. Turn key to on but do not start, wait and you should hear it clicking. Give it some time then turn key to off. Wait and then start ignition.

    Ran fine yesterday without. I think from.my reading at stage 1 you are okay without but stage 2 and above you will want one.

    Took it for a nice drive today. Car feels amazing as it pulls over 4k and just keeps going.

    No idler pulley ATM. I'm hoping to rebuild a second head and block for stage 2 over winter. I will be looking to design one when I do.

    Car wouldn't idle after cooling down. Vince seemed confused but the chip was sent back for him to tweak the map. I'm now back from a trip to London and will try again tomorrow

    Then one day whilst browsing on Facebook this was up for sale Vortech V1. I had been thinking about it for a while, it was either that or air ride. Took the drive unto collect and bearings seemed fine so I handed over the cash and came home. started ordering parts and test fitted it in the bay. Few photos of it being fitted This is pretty much up to date. The (almost)in the title is due to a few running problems. have been speaking a lot to Pete who has been very very helpful and am trying to sort out why it wouldn't idle. I moved my MAF further away. Latest is that it will idle

    Swapped my old bora for this a few years ago. How it looked when I got it. The green had to go. Then I tried some new wheels which didn't last long. Added some reclining buckets and took the rear interior out Painted the steels white Stayed like that for quite a while then added a vento front (which I've always wanted) Winter wheels on. Didn't really rate them. Fitted a Vento Splitter and a brake upgrade somewhere along the line Tried some tsw venoms and got a phase 2 veto grille. Venoms didn't work imo

    Have just installed a Vortech V1 onto my golf and started it today. It started fine but wouldn't idle. It dropped below 1000 rpm and then cut out. I only have a fault code scanner but I am getting the code 00533. http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/00533 I have tried disconnecting the MAF but the same thing happens, and I get a code about the MAF readings not being there. Anyone have any ideas?Car is OBD2 on a Stealth map. Cheers

    I dont believe one exists for OBD1. I have this set up with Torque Pro on my phone. picks up a few useful bits of info. I mainly use it to check my fans are still working as they used to be temperamental.

    Bump, Anyone know the length of the oil feed pipe. Will a metre of hose be enough or worth getting 2 metres to be safe?
