Maf sensors are also very suspect when the engine cuts out when coming to a stop like a round about or junction. Doesn't always throw a fault code either. Check the wires on maf sensor plug for breaks or bad connection. The maf itself may be faulty though.

Well ant updated in a while the shell was a gonna bent roof :-/ before forever the opportunist it gave me a chance for a more in depth engine rebuild and mod what parts I wasn't happy with also purchased a newly build gearbox with LSD etc

If its breathing heavy and high mileage might be worth going that little bit further and checking piston rings and bores for excessive wear....

Now this is what i have been searching the forum for finally ive found my answer now just one thing did you just fit the 263 cams on there own or did you go with uprated springs etc? i gotta know i want to order some
As advised by Vince at stealth I fitted cams, new hydraulic followers and new cam sersor pickup wheels.. I believe some call them fazer wheels? The standard springs should be ok... They are fantastic cams and good if you decide to go turbo in future.

sorry to hear that, try doing google search for the correct sequence... you may have other problems but it did work for me. mabe someone else on here will be along who has also done this before. As for the sunroof i would imagen its supposed to tilt and slide all the way open. mine does.

I haven't, was offered them for £120. If it was a case of plug and play I might have been tempted....

No there is no wiring for them they were a custom fit accessory so you will need to run wires. You can cut the wires that go to the rear doors as you shouldn't need to use them but I would recommend running them off of an amplifier anyway they would sound a shit load better that way.

It had been standing for a bit, and i know when i first started charging it the indicators were active aswell as random movement in the windows? simple fix?
I would defiantly try resetting. Only takes a minute to do. There is a sequence for it. I think it's take the window all the way to the top. Hold button in the up position for 10 seconds then take the window all the way down... Something along those lines. After a few mins playing with mine I got it... Worth a try..

Just wondering if the auto up / down window limits need resetting? I had this problem with my golf after changing the battery.

Hi vr brothers.... I have been offered a set of blaupunkt parcel shelf supports with the built in speakers...I have a mark 3 golf vr6 and was wondering if the connections or plug for the speakers is already present on my car? Possibly tucked away anywhere? As this was a factory optional extra I know sometimes manufactures run the loom to the location in the event of it possibly being required? We're Vw so thoughtful in this case? In short are these plug and play or will I have to run my own wiring to them?

Hi brothers
Does anyone know of anywhere that supplies complete vf supercharger stage 2 kits in the uk? Iv tried Vince at stealth but says he no longer supplies them... Something about ns tuning seems to be a one man band, looks abit doggy to me unless anyone else has good experience with him?? I just want to order the complete kit new. Vince said he will fit it and remap for me..
