    glad yours worked had prob after prob with my vr6 abs had the same done as you re soldered ecu , covered nearly 400 miles then welcome back abs light, all wheel speeds reding the same but still intermittent light when it feels like it, maybe solder cracked again or something , gave up now fed up with it all !!!

    i bought kit off ebay over a year ago now been in ever since on my vr6 no probs what so ever , so easy to fit i went for 6000k look amazing kit comes with 2 year warranty £50 free postage here is item number 330379335700 recommended these to everyone i know all been happy cheers

    Golf gti abs ecu i have the ecu from a mk3 golf gti this is the ecu which bolts to the base of the pump to the right hand rear under the bonnet , simple to change just four bolts and off it comes There was no faults with the ecu when it was removed from the car Many abs problems with all mk3 golfs are linked to faulty abs ecu,s You could save time and money by just changing this part Part number on part is 3a0 907 379 A Will fit all 8v mk3 gti,s and some 16 valves please confirm before purchase

    currently running 10 40 w oil in my vr but lately its blue smoking a bit, not losing loads of oil its just annoying when i give it some and im sat in traffic i get a bit of blue smoke. guessing valve stem seals how much do peeps charge to fit new ones?? also if i change to 15 40 w oil will this help the smoking die down a bit, heard that it will just didnt wanna damage engine or anything cheers

    hi guys thinkin bout gettin some of the crystal m3 rear lights for the vr , has anyone else got these, any ideas if there ok , just heard stories in past of after market lights leaking etc, also ones i seen are on ebay , new 56 quid delivered any were better for good price or product let me know cheers

    i know its not a r 32 or 4 motion but its still a mk4 my friend has a golf mk4, on dash diplay a number 1 has come up top right on diplay and top left there is a circle with line through it also its showin speed normally 15 or 16 mph, not been there before any ideas please guys cheers

    might try doing the seal bit properly first then didnt know that it split in two, any ideas were i can get high temp sealant from or whats good to use??

    what is amp section?? prob i have at mo is everytime it rains engine runs terrrible back fires the lot, sprayed water over pack other night in dark sparks everywere from outside pack so defo pack hey?? it did have crack in it sealed it but no improvement!!

    does anyone know whether the coil pack on the mk4 v6 4 motion is the same as my golf mk3 vr6's?? after a good used one cant afford new , and wondered if they were same would have better chance of gettin good used one! anyone with info would be great cheers

    wil have to check calipers, bushes are purple power flex ones if i remember but have heard in past they can grind or creak , may try some grease? Anyone else heard them doin that?

    when i brake to a complete stop i get a funny noise at back of the car its hard to explain, basically as i stop i hear a clunk then a creak at the back end it then stops as i stop, no evidence of brakes binding , dont know if one brake is comin on early late really weird one annoying tho, no loud noise from outside car when i stop got mrs to check, but can hear it all inside any ideas?

    had a 2003 ctr in front the other day he opened up so i opened up the vr think he got a massive shock when i was sat on his rear bumper after half a mile lol, he wouldnt move over tho maybe he didnt wanna c if i could do him , saw him 2 days on and he was not interested he knew then that my old p reg was more than a old p reg !

    i have always ran 17s , lowered all round 40mm on bilstein shocks and springs 205/40/17, corners really wel and still pulls like a train, i also like the filled arch look it brings on 17s

    blew a core plug on block at xmas bought a few they were so cheap , it was the one behind oil cooler not much trouble bought a few because i figured others may go soon, problem is now another has blown but this time its behind the alternator securing bracket etc, left above crack/coolant pipe. whole front end is off now but know idea on how to remove bracket etc nightmare!!!

    how much normally just as a guide? , they normally repairable then? there in middle not on side wall

    found nail in each front tyre, not touched it pulled it etc no pressure being lost how worried should i be dont wanna lose tyre etc cos loads of tread left but dont want it to be dangerous? Any advice cheers

    car is lowered about 30 mm all round bilstein shocks and springs

    so will i be ok to roll with them then without any nasty problems?? To be honest my nice wheels are going into storage for winter these were only for the winter months!!four wheels with tyres 4mm tread on each for £130 didnt think was bad , but you reckon they will fit then?

    abs ecu, dry solder joints , in turn send out of control signals all the time, had mine split open by my electrician nearly every solder cracked and thats on a 97 vr6 , re soldered 1 new sensor all ok now
