  1. Been trying to sell my vr6 for 2 months now I can actually say it's near mint and be honest and only want £1600 some people honestly !!!
  2. Runs my 10 inch sub in my boot, it's a 1000 w shark v9 amp not amazing I know but has done me well in the past

Went to put my amp in last night connected earth tightened up then connected power as I tightened up screwdriver touched amp slightly and I got sparks, connected remote then stereo now amp has power light and red light in safe mode also, worked fine before so wiring is good guessing have ruined something any ideas cheers

  5. Does anyone know why prices are so different for the spring sets on gsf posted by mad rocker earlier? One set 39 one set 69 ??? Also anyone know anyone or had experience with there lowering kits cheers
  6. Can't understand it gsf list the springs as gti/vr6 like they can be used on both so now im confused
  7. Obviously with mk3 gti and vr6 bein same car need to know if can fit gti spring set to vr6 cheers

I have a golf vr6 full bilstein shockers and lowered springs noticed today both rearsprings are snapped so need to get this sorted so goin to buy a lowering kit just consisting of springs and fit new front and rear to my bilsteins obviously can fit any springs ???? Also looked about seenloads for mk3 gti will they be ok on a vr6 cheers in advance
  9. Similar to the merc ones but polished yes,also holes a bit smaller maybe will have to just wait till gti international this year and hope to c the guy with the mk 4 again , wish I had taken note of the wheel make lol
  10. Very similar yes ones I want I saw on a mk4 on the Saturday last year at Gti international holes were thinner than that and they had like mirror finish

  13. Currently running 205/40/17,s on a 42 offset but want new wheels to give car a wider track look like spacers would give, my friend has a polo with 8j s on love the look it has want mine like that

Right looking for a new look on my golf vr6 wheel sites offer nothin but crap, what I want I don't know the makes of , want high polished very shiny , size 17 inch style of alloy I like are full faced with slots in round the side or deep dish like split rim style but prob can't afford them any ideas please write them down or help with pics sorry message is so vague just dont know were to look as I said normal wheel websites just throw up bk fox etc
  15. how old does car need to be though to make it qualify as a classic thought it was 15 or 20 years ? Maybe wrong ?
  16. in regards to your pump i have just changed mine for brand new one when u turn key all way just before u start car u should he water pumping around also if u feel the hoses from the pump you should feel water runnin through , also after every run when key is out water should continue to run , in regards to problems it can cause problems over time , the run on pump stops hot spots forming after turn off also primer engine prior to start up, also have heard of occasions where heater matrix has been damaged, end of the day vw fitted it for a reason so should work correct, i got new one from gsf 8
  17. above is correct two hoses going into car at back run through matrix had this prob on a 106 gti i had, disconnect both pipes put a plastic join between them halfords wil have some and jubilee each side , u will have no heater but also will confirm a leak in matrix, as stated earlier the matrix itself is not expensive its all labour my 106 gti was 20 quid for matrix and nearly 250 in labour , took all day dash off air bags off , change matrix and re build, as i said once u have by passed matrix if leak stops u know its that, then ask for quotes , hope that all that helps mate

  19. needs to be the exact same number mate e at the end includes eds which your vr6 has c at the end includes no eds system so your slip diff etc wont activate hope that helps
  20. so its your head gasket for sure ? Mine always makes whoosh noise when removing lid, its only pressure isnt it? Is it leaking block for defo then
  21. gear box mount can be annoying to do my mechanic mate struggled a bit with mine, the other two are not that hard just a matter of jacking engine un doing and lining new ones up i did mine my self ,depends if u got the guts to have ago though, first job is to diagnose which mount your having trouble with .if its gear box mount its hydraulic so wil be leaking this is situated right hand rear when u open bonnet under coolant tank, front one is dead centre and nearest to bonnet catch, rear mount is back left under metal protector, find out which one it is by looking for extensive wear and moving e
  22. are u sure its not leaking from the internal water pump , also check your core plugs i have had two fail in the last year put new ones in now
