  1. Most definatley agree with the" pick the type-r over the 6 pot then ya stupid" comment, But just don't like jap crap tho,
  2. Since when is a 15 year abused prety much standard vr6 quicker than a mk1 type-r civic ( which was using all of it's 10 or 12,000 rpm or what ever they rev up to. Not moaning like just thought they were quicker than i've thought, and to be honest didn't think mine was that fast either. anyway pulled up behind one the other day at the traffic light's gave him a blip to give a clue what i wanted to do and yes he did give it all he had as did i but i had to keep letting of,f if it was a clear road i would of sailed past himeasily. Another one for the vr6's eh.
  3. the vr's back on the road now after months of sittin in the garage due to no job n no job cash. Got my job back now and car's back on the road, needs new brakes so will be fitting drilled n grooved disc all round, black diamond pad's and braided hoses on in a week or two then next it's either polybushes and them ddi dial's with the chrome bezels for the gauges and heater controls or 6 branch manifold and new de-cat as current one looking like shit now think it's standard steel, then it's re-map time. Any one know or recommend anywhere for that close to stoke.
  4. how's the clearence on 17's when the car's lowered, mine's only on koni adjustable's and ain't to low about 55mm drop (not low enough tho) at the min but i'll be goin over to coilovers as soon as cash allow's. Oh and i've got the plastic arches on mine so how would i go about rolling the lips back if i had to. any recomendations for the stoke on trent area.
  5. I'm goin be swapping my brakes to 312mm so need to change my wheels as i only have 15" on at the min, the problem is i prefer 16"s bu struggling to find a cheap set (for the time being and may be later for track purpose's) in 5x100 fitment i can only find 112 and load's of 17" in 100's so my question is what do the vr's handle and drive like with 17"s on i've they're horrible to drive and don't feel right.
  6. I must admit i was leaning towards brakes and looks like i've got find some 16's then, Now i would like to go 4 pot's along with the 312mm conversion but i'm only just pushing a bit over standard power so won't bother with them for a bit but would like to go bigger on the back but ain't found much info on that.
  7. I'm having problems deciding on wether to get an anti-roll bar kit or to upgrade the brake's and if i upgrade what to do. I know i'm getting the eibach arb kit . As for the brakeing i don't know wether to stay with the 288mm set-up and get black diamond drilled & groved disc's f+r with black diamond's fast track pad's on the front and predator pad's on the back, and can i get 4 pot calipers to fit with 15" wheels. Or do i go for the 312mm conversion and instead of using my existing calipers i'd like to maybe go for porsche or other 4 pot's. Then get 16" alloy's been looking at 5 n 6 spok
