the low down torque has inprooved a hell of a lot, but it goes very flat / loses a lot after 4000rpm, yes the light changes from green to red and the flap opens. but when i fitted it the flap was seized so i unloosened the bolts and the flap opened. it pulls all the way to the redline but as said after 4000rpm it feels much flatter like the standard manifold maybe less. its been polished so has been apart at some stage! the vacuum is connected from the vacuum ports on the servo hose! the thing that is concerning me is that the flap arm was popping out 1cm or so is concerning me that somethin

golf vr6 - right i bought this schrick inlet manifold off a member on here last may and fitted it last week, low down torque is good and i finally got the flap to open as the bolts were too tight! but it still feels very flat when the 4000rpm surge is meant to come in when the flap opens (yes it opens when i revv it etc.......) today i thought lets have a look and the flap arm that the actuator rod connects to is sitting out about 1cm so i had to push it with a screwdriver to make it sit flush against the inlet again, im thinking something is loose inside, any other ideas before i take it

sorted now pete, you were correct, slackened them off and the flap moves at about 4000rpm. low down torque is so much better although it seems ever so slightly flat at 4000rpm and above for some reason? it was remapped @ stealth before the schrick obviously! -

what do you mean by over tightened pete? i couldn't move it with my finger when it was off! you can see the actuator trying to pull it up but it wont budge! -

i have no idea, it looks simple but there bloody expensive and i dont want to break anything. -
been on the phone to vince at stealth racing today discussing this, ecu works fine on the schrick, turns red at 4000rpm but the flap does not open at all, you can see the actuator trying to pull it up but it wont pull. as you can see from previous posts today i was asking on your opinions of where the vacuum tank and solenoid goes. i bought it last may and have had my 1st week off today to fit it, i was going to sell it but had enough funds for my fiesta rs turbo. he dropped it off to my house last may 2013, i still have his address still and its not far, by law where do i stand?

its a bit of a pickle where to put the big vacuum pump and electronic valve on my golf vr6 mk3, so i moved the battery slightly foward and mounted the vacuum tank there by the spare hole on the header tank bracket, also mounted the electronic switch on the bracket where the main engine harness plug sits, it allows me to run the vacuum hosing behind the header tank into the switch. anyone think this is ok or not as there is not many places to put it!

hi guys speaking to a guy who is in the same town as me, he has a stage 2 vortec v1 setup avaliable once his car is back from stealth racing having a turbo fitted. now ive been in a golf with a z-engineering supercharger and i was not inpressed at all! guess it was a stage 1? this vortech kit was running 300 bhp apparently with cams? are vortechs very good? what are they like for off the shelf parts?

ill include this for the buyer of mine!

im looking for the front bushes for the golf vr6, think there called powerflex, i cant find them on ebay at all! ive already got the R32 lemforder rear bushes to install but after the smaller bushes for the lower arms (wishbones) would this setup be ok with R32 bushes at the rear and powerflex ones at the front of the lower arm???
