  1. is this on full lock, while moving the steering or moving? It could be you're top mount bearing or ball joints on the hub, or any or the bushes tbh. You're best bet it to jack you're car up, get a pry bar and go over all of the bushes and joints to see what has a lot of movement.
  2. I believe its number 1. The center is usually the dip beam.

  6. I've just had to go and fix my mates garage door, but as I pulled away I heard this almighty bang and plastic grinding.... I absolutely shit myself, When I got out of the car it turns out that today is recycling day and a bag full of plastic milk bottles had blown under my car!! naturally I got rather annoyed and kicked it across the road only to think opps I've made quite a mess doing that and picked it all back up lol.
  7. Didn't have to do any work today because I wasn't allowed to put up a ladder, So I spent the day working on a KX500, definite win

  11. Drove to my parents yesterday as it was my dads Birthday and noticed the cloud of steam behind me, not good. when I got there the header tank was empty!!! it took nearly 2 litres to fill it back up. now GSF sell a head gasket for £30 and VW sell one for over £60 so has anyone had any experience with the cheaper one? I know most of you will recommend the genuine gasket but is it really that good to justify paying double? Cheers Dave
  12. Doesn't the ECU re-calibrate itself if you leave the ignition on without the car running for 15 mins.
  13. I got the same, he's been a member for just over 6 months and has nearly 100 posts on here so I'm gonna see what he wants first before I call him a scammer.
  14. I had exactly the same problem, It turned out to be a HT lead arching. a cracked coilpack would cause the same problems though.
  15. most of the time its fitted onto the bulkhead behind the passenger side glove box, its very easy to get to tbh, only 5 screws. the alarm seems to have internal relays to flash the indicators independently from the rest of the car and work the central locking.
  16. Looks like only a few minor changes this year, [blockquote]The FIA’s World Motor Sport Council has agreed a number of significant changes to the Formula One regulations. Among them are a new single tyre supplier, aerodynamic revisions designed to boost overtaking, a ban on F-ducts, and the return of a 107% qualifying rule. Pirelli will take over as the sport’s sole tyre supplier from 2011, following Bridgestone’s decision to withdraw at the end of this season. The Italian company will provide all teams with rubber for the next three years, in compliance with existing F1 sporting and tech
  17. Tbh that was what I was thinking, my vr is a 94 and the sticker on the alarm says it was fitted in august 93 so I would definitely say it has been on there since new.
