    yeah it did seem very little gain TBH but was'nt sure if it improved the "driveablity" of the car allready done all oils and fluids new tires new uprated dics(jkm's own) and ferrodo pads all round new cluch and milltek on order prob go for some anti roll bars next week aswell

    i se that bungy was looking at getting a revo remap on his 4motion and was wondering if anybody has got round to do it and if they did was it worth it????? as there seems to be big split in yes/no opions on other sites but most seem to have been done on R32's not 4mo's

    seems i'm the odd one out then i would rather watch paint dry it just do'nt do it for me now moto gp or wsb then i'm glued to the box

    300 quid more than a vag com bugger that looks good but think i would rather buy the ross tech one and save a lot of cash

    again 4motion is 2.6 lts but think thats transfer box aswell but i did ask my local vw stealer on sat what oil and he says that you never change it on the mk4 the oil's good for life unless you have a fault also asked anoth vw specialist and he told me the same but do'nt seem right to me so gonna do mine on sat anyway .......yes gfs do the right oil

    not sure in the vr6 but its 75w-90 in the 4motion gearbox box have been told to make sure you use the proper vw stuff tho as some other oils can make for a stiff gearchange when cold

    the old version did have probs with vista but i'v got the vcds 908 and also the beta 912 versions and they run fine on vista and windows7

    got mine from here http://www.ilexa.co.uk/ they are a dealer for the genuine ross-tech one's they were very helpfull and next day delivery cost 260 ish not sure on the odb1 or 2 bit but look on the ross tech site all the info you will need is there

    i also had prob with the g251 (long accel sensor) if you look down a few posts under TRACTION CONTOL LIGHT you will see how i sorted this prob mate .......also looks like you need a registerd version of vag com

    Hmm not sure had most of the ones i'v wanted scoobs,evo's cozzie's and lots of other toys only thing i really fancy is a 750+ monaro had a standerd one and liked that just needed more go in it

    if it was mine i would get the brakes sorted and runing free then get all the fault codes cleared then go for a drive and when you come back recheck the codes and see whats reappered and take it from there

    well it depends on what you have now and what you want from a car ok i got a 4motion not quite a R32 but imho a very good fastish 4x4 car,well built,quiet,comfy and not too bad on the fuel i,v come from jap cars (scoobs,evo,pulsur,gt4's) yes the jap may have a bit more go in them and a bit more nibble through the bends but i prefer the vw and its the only 4x4 hatch that me dog can fit in other than a estate or big 4x4 (proper offroader)

    i think you should also "sticky" the results so its nice and easy to find all the info

    that would be a good idea mate as loads of non gen parts out there for sale i mean there must be 10 diffrent brake disc manufactrures out there same with pads

    well i had a check today and it is saying that the haldex system is all ok but showing up faults on the longatude accelration sensor so cleared the codes and went out for a play ,they came back on so now done a recallabration on the sensor and will give that a try will let you know how that works out
