    you may be better putting this in the garage section mate

    have you tried changing the plugs to see if that helps ????? do you know anyody down that way who could do a check with a vcds it might give you some codes which in turn might help you source the prob

    as bungy says for gearbox i didn't need specific tool tho just allen key socket and rear diff is easy mate only prob i had was getting the bung out (corroded in)

    i got the same reply from vw but did change mine as it just don't seem right not to change it i also done rear diff aswell

    are the mk3's hyd clutch ?????? if so could it be the m/c up the spout and not the clutch

    as bungy says make sure you get the right breif you can normaly get 1/2 hr free consultation from the good ones they will tell you more as to what is the best thing to do also as said get letter from your work saying that you need to be able to drive or you will lose you job it all helps

    well i emm well got caught doing ALOT more than that ( police video show them doing 148 as i was pulling away from them ) was on bike but ok cost me alot(over a grand ) but got a good brief and got away with 5 points and 750 fine that was in 04 tho had no choice but to spend the money as no lisence = no job and even less cash not the answer you need but it does show that it is possable to keep your lisence

    yeah i do'nt know of any down your way and my mate says there isn't any that he would recomend aswell

    got a mate who is in yeovil and he says the same about tsr steer clear

    will the vcds not link into any of the controlers on the car ???????? don't think the other scanner will be any better as it works the same way as the vcds (mate has one)

    there is sevices at the a34/m4 junction (chievly) (sp) or there is some at oxford

    i would think 2k + for a full spay and odd bits of body work to be done i'm afraid its a case of you gets what you pay for and rember black is proberly one if not the worse colour to spray but do look the mutts when done right if you need engine bay, door shuts,boot all spraying in its gonna be nearer 2.5 k for a half desent job imho
