The NIME unit is an electronic box of tricks that can be used to cure the cooling fan problem without having to replace the fan units...look back in the thread and you will see the link for the website...mine was fitted last year and is working a treat.

Get yourself one!!!!!!...I bought mine last June and it has had a few typical Mark 4 issues like cooling fans, leaking rear washer and front wipers seized but all sorted. I also own a Mark 5 Edition 30 which is an awsome car but the 4 mo is my favourite and the sound that V6 makes is great...just make sure you do your homework so you know what you should be looking for. Some good guys on here all to ready to advise you if needed.

How well should a 4 motion perform in the snow...mine does not seem that good so not sure if i have a problem with the haldex or not...what should i be looking for?

just had a heavy rain shower by me so have took the car out and floored it from a hill start....no wheel spin or any problems.

Driving out of a car park today travelling at approx 10mph the ESP light came on an the car felt light for about 2 seconds then all cleared.....it did it again a few moments later but again after 2 secs light went out and everything is all now okay...any ideas please.

i have got about £250-300 to spend on a rear camber kit so just checking out the best way to go.

I wished i had done it myself now !!!!!! while you are on mate how much did your rear camber adjusment kit cost you and do you think the kit is better than the rear adjustment arms you can buy.

£126 for the haldex oil and filter change at Birmingham Volkswagen. I will call them tomorrow and see what they say about it..

Sorted.....it is the haldex breather pipe...the haldex oil and filter was changed by volkswagen just over monthe ago and this is a common problem after Haldex service if slightly overfilled. This photo taken from rear of vehicle nearside. The pipe is in the centre/top of the photo. you can see the rear nearside spring and driveshaft. The fluid is a clear oil that seems to be leaking from the pipe where it goes into the body.

Bungy..the small pipe appears to come off the haldex...not sure if it is a breather pipe...i will go a and take another photo.
