    sounds like you got air in the abs pump mate you will need to do a bleed with vag com if that has happend

    sorry its not alot of help but hey i'm sure you will get there mate just as a thought i see the box has a ecu to control it maybe worth checking the wireing form box to ecu you never know maybe rubed through somewhere or a loose conection bit of a long shot but worth a look

    sorry i really don't know mate i just done a google for vw mk3 vr6 auto gearbox oil filter might be worth doing the same but for pics and see if it shows how they mount to the engine ?? do you have acsess to a vag com it might throw up some codes which might point you in the right direction

    timing chain normaly rattles not squels sorry can't help as to the filter as never had a auto box mate but from what i can see on google its seem that some are 3 speed and have a fiter and the others are sealed for life not teaching you how to suck eggs but you did check the oil level with it runing and oil nice n warm

    right well i like to get there as early as poss so i normaly leave chichester around 6am so i can be there as the gates open normal go M27 M3 A34 to newbury then jump on the M4 nice an easy that way so where would be good for all to meet up ??? sutton scotny services on the A34???? or any ideas
