  1. and when you've primer'd it wet and dry it with something like 800 or 1000 till its silky smooth, basically get it to the point that the primer is as smooth and flat as you want the finished painted item to look
  2. the passenger either didnt know what was happening or hes got balls the size of watermelons
  3. At the very least scotch it up first to give a key to the new paint. I think a slam panel would be do able with just rattle cans in a shed or garage, I've done whole bumpers like this before, the key to a good end result is all like 80% prep though
  4. I went for medium but it varies from brand to brand, some are small, some medium and some large, but I don't like loose baggy t shirts I like them fitted
  5. If you're on a 3GS and wanted an iPhone again you'd be best to wait for the 5 no doubt next year, the 4 would be a big upgrade from 3GS even though, id steer from the 4s as it's really just a mid life spec refresh. Siri really is a gimmick, i don't even think it works fully anywhere but America either, ie directory searches and the like. The sensation is quite good my brother has one, but it really is massive! Where the iPhone sized phones can be operated single handed some of these monsters need 2 for some things. The reason android phones are cheaper is because so much more o them are made
  6. as a point of reference for you i run ET35 17s with 205/40 profile tyres and no arch mods and they never touch, i dont know how far down though i just have my coilies set so my arches nicely frame the wheels, so its prob more than 40mm
  7. rarer than an insignia vxr, and when has anyone ever seen one of them?!?
  8. If they were fitted to a mk3 before then they should be correct offset. You shouldn't have any probs in that case
  9. theres 2 1H0 119 137 1H0 119 137 A No A is 800mm long, A is 860mm long, so find out which you need first I think the A# is for air con models, but best to double check
  10. i saw this and i still cant understand how his helmet came off. This and Dan Wheldons Indy crash, motorsport is having some bad luck as of late Jesus Christ!
  11. I'd much rather my car looked like that than a rusty bonnet, miners lamp fastened to the front and a kids trike from a scrapyard fastened to a roofrack
  12. They are an awesome engine, in my focus ST I had 300 on standard engine/turbo, damn I miss my ST, but a max, that's max ever of 22mpg was just too much to justify with the mileage I was doing then :-(
  13. They aren't heavy, they weight less than a 172, vr is grp 14 for insurance
  14. TPS Obselete mate! [Richard Hammond]Ah[/Richard Hammond]
  15. I can tell you that vs a Clio 172 there's pretty much nothing in it cos my brother has one and it's the first thing we did, but due to the torque the vr feels like it's going quicker In regard to the scooby subject, I really doubt that youd get much better economy and the insurance would be way more cos they are such a high grouping and high risk category
  16. Have you tried TPS? They do an exchange program too that literally halves the price
  17. what i dont get is why does every little scrote front up to you like they are rocky, when theyre a third your size with arms like a 7 year old, they all need knocking down a whole series of pegs, if respect doesnt work then make them afraid!
  18. a woman that worked at the same place my gf did appeared in court for that, seriously, she smacked her daughter for being a little sh!te, not a beating, and the daughter phoned the pigs. its all about respect, or lack thereof, i demand it from people who should give it to me, cos it pisses me right off
  19. the basic plotline goes like smarter people keep putting off having kids so all the idiots and morons breed, so society takes a downward spiral till everyone is just a fighting moron
  20. have you ever seen idiocracy? its starting now
  21. it would be the old new beetle now
