    MOT is due and what with this stupid f*cking "airbag light so I have to have a working airbag" rule I got myself a mk3.5 leather 3 spoke wheel, I've reconditioned the leather and now it feels and looks awesome, it was a right sack of shit when it turned up! Just need to get 3 slightly longer screws for the airbag/indicator cancel slip ring and its ready to go on. I actually like it more than I thought I would.

    Mines about 70mm lower on coilovers and 17" wheels with 205 tyres with no arch mods, this look to be the widest I could go with tyres as there's just a few mm clearance

    A hacksaw with a very high body is useful too, take the blade out, thread the blade through the bush casing, turn it round so it faces into the saw and you can saw through it, makes it easy to chisel the case inwards to pop it out.

    I'm talking big sections of tree trunk, they were ideal for laying and supporting the beam on

    They are hoses from the body to the beam so give a bit of le way and you can just un fasten the handbrake cable

    It's not too difficult to do it with the beam on, but you do need ideally a couple of jacks, some axle stands and I found it helpful that I had plenty of various sized logs lol

    I used zinc, then grey stripe, then shutz, and I over coated it all with waxoyl last year

    I have standard ARBs, AP coil overs, stock top mounts, vibra technics fast road engine mounts and full poly bushed. I think I stumbled upon the perfect mix of parts cos it rides so nice and all of the other cars I drive or ride in to compare are S line or sport Audis. Apart from the few more interior rattles in my 17 year old golf the ride and compliance I think are just as good, in fact mines less crashy over cracks and potholes than my mums S line TT.

    I don't know what everyone has against poly bushes, I poly bushed the lot as all of them had gone and the difference is immense
