    Just had this on my cabby 2.0 8v and is quite common. You'll need to check and clean your throttle body. I used a tooth brush and carb cleaner and didn't take it off completely but just disconnected the inlet side. Also stripped and flushed the breather hose and cleaned through the breather filter and it ran like a dream. If you are grafting in a donor piece of metal from another arch lip, use a joggler to offset the edge to get the best finish and strong bond.

    I've been looking at Miltek cat back exhausts for my car but i'm not sure on the difference between resonated and non resonated. Can anyone explain the difference and which should I get?

    A good security measure if you have an up and over door and a side entry door is to either drill the door runners and put 1" padlocks throught the holes and use the side door, or drill through the bottom corners of the door and into the concrete and use 6" nails as drop pins. Most garages get broken into by forcing the bottom corners of the door. I've even known a favourite on another owners club was to leave a baby monitor plugged in and the other end in your bedroom after repeated breakins. Hope it never happens to any on here.

    Can I jump in on this? Never been up a drag strip before. What could I expect out of my bog standard v6 4mo?

    A no brainer for me really and i'll be going the charged route. I did go to Regal today to price up what they had to offer but from recommendations I think Storm will offer the better package but i'm waiting on a reply before I make a decission. All of a sudden Jake's car looks really good value for money when you price up all the components.

    I know the feeling mate. My last restoration spent an age up on axle stands as I detailed the underside. Not a vw though so i'll spare you the photo's.
