  1. lol no worries mate, there doesnt seem to be a definite answer on 21 or 19 for the early ones anywhere so l gave up and just ordered a new set of R32 ARB's with poly bush’s, which should be a nice little upgrade I was going to go for an aftermarket set but l needed them for this weekend and they are all 7 – 10 days delivery, so R32 for Friday was the way to go lol but 23 & 19 should be fine Cheers for the help though bud
  2. Ok its looking like the front are 21 (eurocarparts website used as reference lol), so l am guessing the rear must be 17. although powerflex on europerformance only seem to do up to 16 for the rear for a 4mo? something so simply is making my brain hurt lol

Ok l know this is something l should really know but for the life of me l cant remember, also had a quick search on google with no luck :/ What size are the standard anti roll bars on a 4motion as l need to replace the bushes and you always seem to get like 4 sizes to choose from? Im guessing like 19 on the front and 15 on the rear but wanted to make sure

  11. haha no prob Daverse, l prob should said that to start with craggsy, l prob would have given it a go but unfortunately l dont have vag-com at the moment, so l couldn't. on the plus side it does seem to be sorted! l came across a broken pipe whilst having a look last night. the one that goes in to the top of the charcoal container (l think!) part number 1J0 133 366M, l couldnt find a new one online but managed to fix it and either that or the battery off has done the job (or at least it seems to have lol) cheers for the help guys now l only have one or two warning light to get rid of and am a

I know moving the plate was a not such good idea on the mk5, because of the need to re-calibrate once you did but l didnt know it was an issue on the mk4. l took the battery off for a while had have just put it back on and it seems to be idling ok so l will see how it is tomorrow (hoping it is sorted!) if not l might get another TB and see if that sorts it. and cheers for you help so far guys, much appreciated!
  13. I thought it was all electronic in the 4mo? there is a connector that hooks up to the top of the TB which is plugged in, but no didnt see a cable :/
  14. fitted it back on, put my tools away and started her. l didn't however disconnect the battery (could this be a problem?) unfortunately l dont have vag-com any more (must get a new one as it is so handy!) oh ok l will try that then buddy. so once battery is back on just turn the key and wait for the noises to start or stop (just to be sure lol) and then good to go? I cleaned it with a bit of carb cleaner that one of my aircooled mates gave me on the weekend. yup checked gaskets but l dont think l have a cable buddy? or am l being a retard here? Lol

Evening all! gave my throttle body a good clean yesterday as a code had popped up saying my idle something or other was higher then expected. plugged my shiny clean TB back on and when l went to drive it today first off the car would drop the revs and engine would die, but now it, for no reason, picks up revs and l have to ride the clutch to control them (not good!) only really notice it when lm stopped at the light ect.. other then that is seems to be driving really well is there anything l might have done to cause this? Help please!

  17. last time l replaced one, l got the bearing pressed in, then with the hub knuckle(?) (the bit with the bearing in that attaches to the shock ect..) back on the car, l pushed the hub on as far as l could by hand which was enough to get the thread on the drive shaft/CV joint through the hub, put the nut on the end and used a ratchet to do it up and pull the hud into the bearing (dont forget to used a little lube ) prob not the right way, but this did the job for me anyway. hope it helps

  19. Im not sure about the look of that buddy, if you could perhaps make the white bit transparent so it has the forum background it may look better imo. I realise that the current setup has a white square background too, I just think it may look good with the red text on the black tiled backing maybe with the little date/time of post in white text, if you are going to keep that info on there? (l see its not on the test layout and to be fair its not massively important) However the info given and functionality are good from the little play l had
  20. really boring admin job with the MOD. l would quit but they said they would stop paying me, so here l am lol
  21. My guess would be that one or bother of the little plastic clips that hold the window have broken buddy, It is a farily easy job to replace them though.
