  1. Oh. Thought that, but just thought i'd check. Has anyone had trouble with the brakes on there forced induction vr's before? Like the vac line for the servo?
  2. No the clutch master is just to the right and a bit lower than the brake master, but yes the brake fluid reservior feeds the clutch master too. Just follow the hose that comes out of the side of the reservior down to the clutch master cylinder.
  3. Yeah think thats a good idea! I think what started to rot them was the fact it had the plastic sill covers on for most of its life' date=' and they just collected mud and water and started the rot. [b']So my advise to people is to take your sill covers off once in a while and clean the body work under them! Anyway, yes john the control works well! 4wd works well! lol! Just been out to try and bed the brakes in, its sort of working, it will stop-really well, but the pedal is almost to the floor. So don't really know if it will pass the mot like it? Does anyone know??
  4. No not yet, probably won't for a month or so, until i'm happy enough with the map, car etc to drive up to emerald to get dave walker to map it. Going to try and get loads of road mapping done soon, after the mot. Sorted my insurance out last week, i went with Sky insurance, TPFT, 4 years no claims, 26yrs, £731, which i didn't think was too bad!
  5. Ok, been having a few issues with the brakes, bled the whole system several times, and the pedal only has a bit of 'feel' to it. I can lock the wheels, but only on full travel of the pedal. So i bought some new ebc turbo groove discs to make me feel better! Does anyone know if they are the correct way round? Thats the way that they said to fit them, but i'm not sure? And i thought after reading kevs turbo guide, i'd make a swirl pot for the fuel system, as the pump i had was quite nosiey. It seems to have helped. And the rust monsters have visited :-( Drivers sill Passenger sill Gu
  6. Yep, had same problem before i changed the clutch master cylinder. Try that, it worked on my car which had the same symptons.
  7. Turbo and supercharger combo is called compound charging. A company called KMS have done this on several engines, and a bloke has done it on a blue mk4 golf, running a 1.8t 20v turbo and g60 supercharger.
  8. lol, you know what i mean though! :-)
  9. The second design, but maybe include some other logo's, relating to your set-up, e.g spax, brembo, shrick etc.
  10. JKM 02392639933 Taking the cat out would make it slightly loader, but not much, it would give it a more 'raspy' sound, just what you want in a vr!
  11. Have you had a look at this company? http://www.dareuk.co.uk/
  12. Yep, summed it up pretty well there bodge! If your using syncro stuff, make sure its from a vr6, gearbox and diff etc, subframe should bolt up to the chassis, just mod the floor pan, mount the prop etc. And cheers bungy :-) its been a long couple of years!

I don't think we wanna know what you were actually doing on your sofa mate :-)
  14. Don't think it was an extra, i don't own a highline an mine works. There is a sender in the front bumper, i think its the drivers side, in the lower grill. That might be the problem, or the fact it might not even be pluged in!

Hmm, looks interesting, have you tested it yet?
  16. Yeah i've used the standard r32 1, its different to the s3/tt quattro so be careful. I can't remember but i think it bolts to the top of the box in 3 places (r32), and the s3/tt bolts on 2 places on the top of the box, and 1 on the side of the block. Can't check atm because i'm snowed in at home! I'l try looking at weekend to double check for you fella!
  17. I've just set light to the stuborn bushes before, they soon budge!!!
  18. Its probably the motor resister rather than the dial control. The resister is in the bottom of the heater box, in the passenger foot-well, and has 3/4 wires going into it.
  19. Mate save some money an have a look at my home-made jobbie :-) You can do both linkages for nothing!
  20. No way! Can't belive this! I feel for ya bud, just hope you save something from your engine :-) (P.S i've got a spare head kickin around if you need 1 mate)
