  1. Thats great news about the shrick, what was it in the end? Those wheels look spanking! 195 on 8j, that will be some stretch!
  2. they dont do nice stretchy sizes Only available in 18s and above also No there not, bought a pair of 17 at the weekend.
  3. That trubo's wicked! Nice find Kev
  4. Yeah using a mk2 driver should be fine, still the same body/chassis as the gti's, and you should be able to just swap everything over. Yes you could use a corrado pedal box, but i'm sure you could modify the mk2 and mk3 pedals boxes to run the hydraulic clutch. Have a look on here, very helpful http://mk2vr6.com/board/index.php
  5. Looking good fella! Whats on the cards next for your vr?
  6. Should be a universal bolt spacing so that the different pruducts fit. Run a low psi, say 5/6psi util you can get it tuned, then get it mapped to what ever you feel like, or whats driveable!
  7. Is it something to do with you Dan? 'cause your so scene like?
  8. Lol! Is it meant for a car? With a bike tyre? No thanks!!
  9. You could use an audi s2 wastegate, its bigger but will be cheaper and as reliable as the branded 'gates.
  10. I've been there with brakes mate! Gone through litres of fluid!!! I hope its just paranoia!
  11. Yeah it should do. Maybe your brakes are ok? Sounds as though they are ok. Do you know anyone close to you that has a mk3 that you could 'feel' their pedal? :-)
  12. So what sort of time are we all going to meet saturday then? Weathers not looking too good..
  13. When i did spadams brakes, replaced the hoses and front calipers, it seemed to bleed ok after. Can you lock all 4 wheels?
  14. Door card needs to come off, and i think the outside door handle needs to be removed too. Just undo the torx bolt in the end of the door (its recessed into the end of the door), undo the 3 torx in the end of the door holding the mechanism on, unplug the 2 plugs, unclip the inner door handle metal rod from the mechanism, then pull the lot out.
  15. You said your pedal travels about a inch before biting? Thats about right surely? The pedal has about 3" to 4" of travel so that sounds about right. When you replaced the hoses, did you replace 1 at a time, replacing each hose as 1 comes off, so as not to allow too much air back in?
  16. Do atleast 500 sensible miles, just to break the rings in atleast. See what its like after that, but i'd wait till you've done 1000miles before WOT.
  17. I wouldn't have thought those reading were too bad tbh. Try what Marks suggested and go from there. What type of h/g did you use?
  18. Did you put the rings on the pistons the right way up? It can't be good news if the plugs are getting that oily.
  19. I've got the bit of the sensor that goes in the gearbox, not the top where the loom plugs in.
  20. Sounds like a plan, May onwards. But i can't do 2-9 June cause i'm going to isle of man to watch the tt!
  21. Could be a faulty lambda sensor if its that low.
  22. Good news then mate! Pleased it drives ok, you just need that charger now...
