I may well have to do a little corrado appreciation thread... starting with ur little beauty!! and yeah, realistically even though the mk2 is a little beauty it is gutless... couldnt hack it as my only car!! lol.

Gotta say Tim mate... i left you my number on pm thursday for u to call me as i needed a quote... nothing... so ive gone with HIC on a classic car policy on my mk2 daily... ill give ya another chance with the vr in July though!!

agreed... i have had a couple of failed group buys in the past... its a lot of hard work to get them going and get everything arranged, i dont think people realise this sometimes...

I did ask about this, but i think after fees etc it would work out too expensive and i wouldnt make any money... maybe she is hinting at the future for when my vr eventually disintegrates. lol. this bodywork is a lot more solid than my vr!! so you never know... if my vr rots into the ground there will be only one thing to do...

Just thought id show you all my new little addition to the VAG family... it was a BARGAIN!!! 89k on the clock Same family since new 1 patch of rust smaller than a 50p on front, other than that NO dents and NO rust anywhere else!! It is imaculatte the interior looks like its never been used, other than the pedals... i paid £500 and just insured it on an agreed value of £1500... get in!! I was gonna use it as a ratty car and abuse it, but as its such an original minter i have decided to slam it, stick some mk2 16 slot steelies on it and keep it mint... might even put it into a show n shine a

No local VW specific scrap yards?? I must be lucky, i have a vw dismantlers about half hour away... and there is another one just over an hour... im not sure about the Leicester area though... try my local guys, http://www.vws.me.uk/index.html i think they deliver next day... sure they will have it.

i doubt you will be able to get a metal one today, might be worth just getting a normal one from a scrappy for now, then ordering a metal one to come next week or something.

as above... if your water level gets too low then yeah, did your fan kick in? those pipes crack quite a lot, it a common thing... you can either get an uprated metal one like this http://gruvenparts.com/website/cart/cart.php?target=product&product_id=260&category_id=60 or just get a replacement from a scrappy.

It wont be the breather causing that, it will be either your plugs, leads or coilpack (if you have one) If you still have this problem send me a pm and ill try and help you.

its gay.. lac lustre.. boring... uninspiring... bring back the days of Mansel... as a young girl i found F1 exciting, now i think of it as a posh mans procession... waste of time, money and talent... watch World Superbikes & supersport... now thats what racing is about... clashing fairings, daring overtakes and you can never guess who's gonna win. i wouldnt waste another hour of my life on F1 again.. shame....

i dont know this for a fact, but heard from another member that they got one form their vw for about 27 quid i think and that was only a few months ago...

I think VW are now selling them around the same price... it used to work out cheaper as VW would only sell the unit as a whole with bits you didnt need costing over £70, but now they sell the crankcase breather separately so its about 20 odd pounds...

Shhh dont tell anyone if you do know!!! And i missed the bit about them being for men... awwww.... thats not true!! There's a lot of nutty women out there who can drive and will make the most of a turbod vr... me being one of them... :) and thanks for the glowing character reference Laurence!!

yeh iv spent loads on dvla fees to. scammers!! she meant an excuse to get a turbo conversion on to her motor if she can't sell the plate. i think she was joking..well i hope so as turbos are for men only!!! lol. No i meant that the car i am buying that has the VRT plate on will be perfect for a vrt conversion... but its not a vr... you'll soon find out what it is!!
