    Have you checked the ISV, it might need some cleaning... also have you run it with the maf unplugged to see if that affects it??

    Just to confirm you did lift the carpet and look on the floor pan of the boot yeah?? its right near the spare wheel well.... If not then you can phone vw and give them your chasis code and they should be able to tell you for sure...

    Winter mode? I didn't think your wheels were polished nat? Anyway brad... winter wheels are gay! They aint polished, but they still come off for winter!! I have a winter splitter and winter fogs & inidcators now too!!

    no way!! small world... i have moved to hedingham now, but always around... ive not seen your cars though... i do know john and darren springet but not massively well... ill have to keep my eye out for you when your vr is out and about!! there is an east coast dubs meet on in colchester every other monday at the Toby cavery if you're interested... normally a good turn out of Dubs there Keep us updated with your project and hopefully ill see you around!! :)

    Steam cleaning is amazing!! do it!! you will be amazed... that vanish stuff you see on the adverts really does work too.. its like shaving foam... gets right into the carpet... then get some pant cheap halfords mats for everyday driving. ive not personally done it, ive steam cleaned sofas though, and it was bloody brilliant!!

    this is all i can find... http://www.sfxperformance.com/parts/NEU651063.htm# most people make their own or just stick to the original airbox and drill it... you need to get something made up with carbon fibre really as ally will also get really hot, at least CF will deflect it better... jake knows a guy who can make anything you want out of CF... give him a try...

    i did mine last summer... this is an old thread revival. lol. but yeah Brad ill help ya no worries.. just let me know when, And Paul, it is a mega big job, but i did mine along side Tony, who knows everything needed to know so it went real smooth, put the engine back in, not a leak or a loose nut anywhere!! it was spot on but i wouldnt say its a task to take on unless you know what you're doing really...
